Jade Kincaid hated Woodsboro high, I mean doesn't every hate high school? But this particular high school just felt too weird for her liking, both her biological parents had attended it and she still feels like Billy Loomis's presence haunts it. Honestly she thinks half the school thinks it's weird how he and Stu Macher both walked the same halls they were walking up and down every day, she hated that there was still a picture of him and Stu inside the trophy cabinet. See they were both on the football team along with Steven Orth which meant the school kinda had to keep the picture up but Jade thinks at some point they just forgot to take it down. Her journey to school was bad enough, Ghostface decorations hung from the lampposts in some sick joke- as if the day her father died was a national holiday! People needed to get a life...

Jade walked down the corridors of Woodsboro high straight past her fathers soulless eyes and to her locker, she found her best friend Brooke Young already waiting for her. She'd met her on the first day, the girl had dark brunette hair with brown eyes and pale skin. Her friend groaned "finally! What took you so long? Your usually earlier than this!" Brooke complained while Jade sighed opening her locker "the bell hasn't even gone yet. But if you must know I was at the graveyard, you know, laying flowers for my dead aunt and uncle. It's 15 years today in case you forgot" Jade told her friend sarcastically while taking her history book out, Brooke's face fell into sympathy before she shrugged "I almost missed all the Ghostface decorations on the lampposts, real creative from our fellow students. Probably got word that Sidney Prescotts coming home- last stop on her book tour"

"Yeah, my moms going to the book store to support her, apparently school was more important and I wasn't allowed to ditch" Jade told her friend as she leant against her now closed locker "well that's a good thing otherwise you'd be leaving me with dumb and dumber" Brooke said with a small smile, Jade laughed "they're not that bad and I think James likes you" Brooke raised a questioning brow tilting her head at the eldest Kincaid girl "since when?"

Jade chuckled "your oblivious, he's been crushing on you since we started here" then from behind Jade a girl a little older with short blonde hair approached her with a smile "Jade, Brooke, you two okay?" Kirby Reed was someone the girls had been very familiar with, she'd helped them find their classes on the first day and she's been nonstop begging the girls to join the cinema club- Jade wasn't keen on the idea, Brooke on the other hand wanted to go and see what the fuss was about. "We're good, I'm still trying to convince someone to go to your cinema club" Brooke told the senior who then tilted her head at Jade with a smirk "seriously? It's not all horror if that's what your worried about and it would look good for your extra curricular activities"
