7 MONTHS LATER

The 2023 F1 season was beginning and the season was kicking off in Bahrain. "First race Nathan. Are you excited?" Lilianna smiles at her son as she sits him on her hip. The young boy giggles at him mum as Isla runs into the room. "Mum, my stuff's ready for on the plane." Isla, now 7, says with a small smile. "Okay my sweet girl. Can you help me with Nathan's bag?" Lilianna asks and Isla nods.

Together, the two with some help from Nathan, pack his bag for on the plane. "Food here!" Max calls from the door. Isla immediately rushes to him while Lilianna walks with Nathan in her arms and a stuffed toy in his hands. "First race, how are you feeling love?" Lilianna smiles, walking over to Max and kisses him on the lips. "Nervous. But, I'll have my 3 lucky charms there." Max smiles, taking Nathan from Lily. "He can't wait to watch daddy, can you Nate?" Lily smiles at Nathan who giggles.

Max, Lilianna and Isla all enjoy their food as Nathan sits in his high chair. After she ate her food, Lilianna fed Nathan his, the little boy ended up with his food all around his mouth. Once everyone had ate and everything was ready, the family of 4 headed out to Bahrain for race 1.

BEFORE THE RACE

Scanning their passes, Max who had Isla on his back and Lilianna who was pushing Nathan's pram walked through the paddock towards the redbull garage, passing all the screaming fans. The shouting and screams only got louder when they saw Nathan's pram. "Welcome back Miss McNair." Lilianna heard a voice behind her. Lily turns around and smiles when she sees Christian. "Hey Christian." Lilianna smiles, letting go of Nathan's pram which Max places his hand on as Lily gave Christian a hug.

"How are you? Is baby Nathan being good?" Christian smiles, walking beside Lilianna and Max. "He certainly is and he's one very happy baby." Lilianna smiles. The group walk into the garage where Sergio is talking with his engineers. "I'm going to get ready. Wait here with the kids." Max smiles. "We haven't got far to go anyway." Lilianna laughs, pecking Max's lips and watches with Isla as the dutchman heads to his drivers room. "Lilianna." Sergio's dad, Antonio, smiles as he walks over to the girl. "Toni." Lilianna smiles as the pair hug. "How are you? How's having 2 children treating you?" Antonio asks. "Very well. Isla's taken to being a big sister really good." Lilianna says as she looks at her daughter who's by Max's car then turns to take Nathan out his pram.

"He's the double of Max." Antonio smiles as he looks at Nathan. "Yeah. He is and I wouldn't have this life any other way." Lily smiles as she bounces Nathan on her hip.

AFTER THE RACE: SUNDAY

The first grand prix weekend of the year had concluded and the top three were Max in P1, Sergio in P2 and Fernando in P3. Max and Sergio immediately celebrated with the redbull team. Sergio ran over to his mechanics while Max immediately headed to Lilianna, Isla and Nathan. "Well done, love. Amazing race. We're so proud." Lilianna smiles as Max places his hands on the side of her face and passionately kisses her.

"Couldn't have done it without my lucky charms." Max smiles, places his forehead against Lilianna's before pulling away and taking Nathan as Lily picks Isla up. "You did amazing, dad." Isla giggles. "Thank you sweetheart. I did it for you, mum and Nate." Max smiles, softly kissing Isla's cheek before Lilianna places her on the floor.

As the other drivers got out their cars, some stopped by Lilianna, Isla and Nathan for cuddles from the two kids while the three winners did their interviews. Lando, Pierre and Charles stayed beside Lilianna as they played with Isla and Nathan. Lily smiled as she watched the scene unfold infront of her. That was when she realized how lucky she was to have some great people in her life besides her parents, her brother and his friends.

Pierre handed Nathan back to Lilianna as Lando placed Isla back on the ground, behind the barrier as the podium celebrations began to get underway. The Ferrari, McLaren and Alpine driver all headed over to the other drivers to watch the celebrations unfold. Lilianna couldn't help but proudly smile and slightly tear up as she looked up at Max in the podium and he smiled down at her and the kids.

Before Max got off the podium, he was handed a microphone while Fernando and Sergio stood to the side. "Can I just say something?" Max announced and the crowd cheer. "Firstly, can my gorgeous girlfriend come and join me." Max says, smiling at Lilianna. She looks at him shocked. Pierre walks over to her and offers to take Nathan. Lilianna hands Nate to Pierre while Isla is taken into Charles' arms. The Northern-Irish mum follows one of the guards up to the podium.

Once she was up on the podium, she glances at Sergio and Fernando confused before walking over to Max. "What are you doing?" she smiles at him as he takes her hand and helps her onto the podium with him. "You're going to find out." Max cheekily smiles. "You better not be doing something you're going to regret." Lilianna chuckles as Max shakes his head. "I won't regret this." the dutchman smiles.

"Lils, you don't know how much you mean to me. You are my reason to smile everyday, my rock and my biggest supporter. Until I met you, you raised Isla alone for 5 years and what a fantastic job you've done. Our little girl has truly embodied your personality and I'm proud to call her my daughter eventhough she isn't. And now, 7 months ago, you gave me Nathan too. Through everything, you have stayed by my side so far, through all the tough times and victories. And you know what they say, behind every successful man is an extraordinary woman and you are that. You've put up with me so far but I want that for a life time." Max says as tears for in Lilianna's eyes as he gets on one knee. Lily immediately puts her hand over her mouth in shock as the tears begin falling.

"Would you do me the honors and not be my girlfriend but my future wife? Will you marry me?" Max asks, smiling at Lilianna as she begins nodding. "Absolutely! Anyday!" she smiles before nodding. Max places the ring on her finger as she stands up before pulling her into a passion kiss. The fans, teams and Max's fellow drivers and their friends loudly cheer. Lily wraps her arms around Max as he picks her up and she wraps her legs around him as they hug. "I love you, Max Emilian Verstappen." Lilianna mutters repeatedly in the crook of Max's neck before she moves her face to look at his, her teary eyes meeting his. "I love you too, Lilianna Marie McNair." Max smiles, placing multiple pecks on the girls lips.

"Mummy! Daddy!" Isla exclaims as she runs to them while Pierre walks over with Nathan in his arms. Max picks Isla up while Lilianna takes Nathan. "Congratulations guy!" Pierre smiles, hugging Lily and Max. "Thank you!" Lilianna responds with the same smile. Sergio and Fernando then walk over to congratulate the pair. As they were congratulating them, the other drivers all came on the podium with champagne, spraying it all over Max and Lily as well as the kids. The newly-engaged couple laugh at the antics of their friends.

After the champagne spraying had died down, Lilianna and Max looked at each other as well as Nathan and Isla before bursting into laughter at how soaked they were. "If I could, I'd do this again and again." Max smiles before gently kissing Lilianna. "Me too." Lily smiles.

Once the group photo was done, Nathan was asleep in his pram while Isla was asleep on Lily's shoulder. "Okay. Now I'm changed, we can head back and put these two to bed." Max smiles, grabbing onto Nathan's pram and heading back to the hotel.
