We chased her until we could smell Bella and her little monster, so we backed off. Jules, Jake and Sam stayed behind wanting to see what she would do. But she took off and dove into the water after Bella noticed her. Bella looked concerned before grabbing her monster and running off with her. More than likely back to Edward.
"What do you think? What did this bitch want?" Paul asked as we all replayed what they had seen. The pure shock at the size of the pack. The pain and fear when she saw Bella and the monster. Followed by the sinister smile she had as she ran away from them.
"I think that even in the vampire world, that it is not the norm to see... Whatever that thing is." Jules said and Jake nodded his head. But he looked more in thought like he was remembering something.
"I wonder where she went. I mean I have been looking for a fight. And she looked like she was looking for one as well." Jake said and I just shook my head at him. He had been more on edge the last few days and none of us knew why. "Or Maybe she went to those Volturi things?" He said and we all looked at him confused.
"The what?" Jared asked as we all continued to look at Jake confused.
"Bella had told me about them once. They are like Vampire kings or something. That was why she left. Because Edward had gone to them after he thought she had killed herself. He wanted to die too." He said and we all nodded our heads at him.
"But why would this leech go to them? I mean doesn't she have a coven that would help her?" Paul asked and Jake shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe to get help? I mean if she blames us for her mate's death. Carlisle said that they refused as they didn't want to start a fight with us. Not over a human eater. And her coven agreed with him" He said and I was thoughtful for a moment.
"I mean it makes more sense. There are a lot of us. Even if she was able to take one of us out there is no way she would be able to take on the rest of us." Jules said as I looked at Jake. He seemed to think the same thing.
"Do you think they sent her?" Sam asked as he too was only looking at Jake. He shook his head.
"I don't think Carlisle would be a part of it. At the last meeting Carlisle was disgusted by them. I am sure something happened to make it so that even the coven leader doesn't want to be around them." He said and I nodded my head.
"I agree. He even said that they would be moving somewhere a pack was at and that Edward, Bella and the thing wouldn't be going with them. That they wanted a fresh start away from all the damage they had caused." I said and Sam nodded his head.
"Let's hope they chose wisely." He said and I had to agree. I might be Luna but if they were not careful it wouldn't matter if he was a good man that never tasted human blood. He is still a vampire and we are meant to protect our people from them.
"You know who we haven't heard from..." Quil said as we all looked over at him waiting for him to continue. "Charlie! Grandpa says that no one has seen him for a week now!" He said and this made us all sit up.
"You don't think..." Jake trailed off but we were all thinking it. Bella or that thing had killed him.
"It is either that or they turned him into a leech!" I said and they all seem to agree.
"If that is true then they broke the treaty." Jake said as he looked over at Jules. She seems to be in deep thought.

I sighed as I watched Jake walk up to us in his wolf form. The pack and his sister with him. She was the only one in her human form and it pissed me off. Jake used to be the one that we would talk to. But now he wouldn't even look at me any more. I knew I messed up but for him to cut me off like he did. Was messed up. I didn't deserve to be treated like I was nothing now that I had the life I wanted.
"If this is about your friend that was here. We already know and have changed up our patrol routine." Jules said and I was shocked. How did they know about her? Did she go after Jake? I had so many questions but it was clear they weren't going to answer any of them. As Jules just glared at me and Edward.
"Then maybe this will get you to work with us!" Edward said and Jules just laughed.
"Why should we work with you? I mean what makes you think that you deserve our help?" She said as she studied all of us. It was clear none of them wanted to help us.
"Jake... If she gets help they will come not only for us but for you as well." I said but Jake didn't even look at me. He was looking at Carlisle.
"He only wants to hear from Carlisle as he is the leader of your coven!" Jules said as I noticed she too had only been looking at Carlisle. This made me mad.
"Will I want to talk to him! So let him shift or phase so we can have the conversation that is needed." I hissed at her. But I didn't scare her. That much was clear.
"If he wanted to talk to you then he would." She said as if I was beneath her. I hissed at her and she smiled at me. She flashed her blue eyes and her k9's. I had to step back as she had no fear. Not from me or the family I now belonged to. Not even with me being a newborn.
