I've never personally had to experince that but that seems like the worst thing. To go to a predominantly white team and feel completly isolated from everything and everyone. Just for being black? I don't get it.
Before I could click play once again, my phone starts ringing.
"hello Joseph." I say grabbing my bowl and walking over to the sink.
"you know I hate it when you call me that shit bro." he complains causing me to laugh.
"i know." I rinse my dishes off before walking back to my room to ger dressed.
"i was just calling to make sure you were up." I roll my eyes.
"ion' need yo ass checking on me." I say grabbing a black t-shirt and some grey sweat pants.

Our first game is in a month and it's time to get our asses in gear.

"Hey guys! I have someone to meet." I say before moving my camera to the right of me showing Lexi. She smiles brightly into the camera.
"hii!" she says waving making me laugh. I position the camera back on the dashboard because my arm is getting tired of holding this heavy camera.
"this is Lexi and as of right now shes my only friend on the team." I say looking at her before laughing.
"Im sure you'll make more friends girly. Once your on the team." She says. I make a face.
"well lets hope so." I say.
"so y'all are probably wondering why were just waiting in the car." I say hopefully stating the obvious.
"well as of right now everyone is waiting for the results of who made the team." I say looking at out the window.
"so were all just chilling and waiting for them to post the paper on the door." Lexi says.
I'd be laying if I said I wasn't nervous as hell right now. I moved from La to Cincinatti for this team. If I don't make it then what the hell am I supposed to do.
