1993 is the year - exactly 30 years back .
Stella Maris college , Delhi . A class is going on , The professor is teaching very well .
But a girl is very busy writing a letter with slight blush and a happy smile , sometimes a sad distant look on her face. After writing the letter she hid it in her book and checked her surroundings to make sure no one has seen her . But unknown to her there are two other girls who have seen her busy writing the letter instead of concentrating on the class . They both smirked looking at each other and turned their attention to the class not letting the girl know that they knew about the letter .
Finally the class got completed , the girl who wrote the letter immediately started to move out of the class , both the other girls followed her . She immediately reached the post box in the corner of the college and is about to put the letter in the box . A hand pulls the letter away and starts to run ....
"Neonika patel" , shouts the girl who wrote the letter and ran behind neonika .....
"U can't catch me Miss Kulkarni" , saying neonika ran away .
Yes the girl who wrote the letter is Nidhi Kulkarni , the one who took away the letter is Neonika Patel , the other girl is Priya Raichand .
" Priya , catch her please" , asking for help Nidhi ran after neonika .
" No Priya , don't help her , she is maintaining secrets from us" , provoking Priya against nidhi spoke neonika and is still running behind them .
Finally panting heavily all three of them slumped on a bench in the back yard of their college ....
Neonika hid the letter safely in her book, Nidhi didn't try to take it bcoz she knew she had to spill the beans now . Priya is just waiting to know the reason behind the letter and this chase.
"Start saying" , neonika asked as they sat in silence for few minutes .
"Is it a love letter ?" , Priya asked with a wink making nidhi look at her with wide eyes. Neonika laughed out loud looking at the expressions of nidhi , even Priya , nidhi joined and laughed with her ....
"It's a Rejection letter", nidhi said after few minutes .
" You wrote rejection letter with a blush", neonika asked in disbelief.
" No I didn't blush .... Yeah , actually yesterday mumma sent me a letter and photo saying she wanted me to marry that guy , he belongs to a good family . But we are not financially stable to get married , why don't mumma understand me , so I'm writing a letter to that guy asking him to back off by saying I rejected him ", she said and both the girls heard her carefully.
" How do u know the guy's address to write a letter ? ", Asked Priya immediately.
" He is very famous business man , at a small age he achieved a lot and he is in the newspaper last week , I read about him , he has a sister who brought him up as their parents are dead in an accident in childhood , he learnt business at a young age , this is what I got to know from news paper , but mumma wrote in the letter about his charity works and all , I don't know how mumma got this match for me . We are no where near to their status. They are literally the rich people of Mumbai , I don't even have money to study if not for patel uncle ", she answered Priya with a sad smile refering neonika dad as patel uncle who is paying her fees to study .
