Y/n was pissed. She couldn't believe that those people attacked Ruby, nonetheless poofed her out of her form. Y/n is walking down the boardwalk away from the place that attacked her best friend. She took Ruby's Gem out of her pocket and looked at her.

"Those bitches" Y/n mumbled to herself, gripping the gem harder. As she walked down the boardwalk some more, she went into the big donut. She needed to tell Sadie something.

"Sadie?" Y/n asked as she opened the door to the shop. Sadie was mopping up some spilled coffee.

"Oh hey Y/n." Sadie says as she turned around. She noticed Y/n's look and the tension around her. " Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was suppose to go with Jenny and her friends to a camp out tonight, but something came up and I can't go. I don't have their numbers so I can't tell them. Could you?" Y/n asked Sadie for the favor.

"Sure thing" Sadie said as she picked up her phone.

"Thanks, I'll see you later". And with that Y/n walked out of the shop and went on her way to her home. She felt a little bit more calm, knowing that she no longer will have to go hangs with Jenny and her friends, but was still ticked off because of Ruby.

She hasn't seen Ruby like this for a long time. The first time she saw Ruby in this form was the first time they met. She started to think about how they both met.

10 years ago

A young child was playing in the near forest next to her house. Y/n. She was currently only five years old. Her parents were nearby, but not close enough to see her. She is bent down looking for little creatures to show her family. Her parents love to see her explore and find different things, but her grandma doesn't, so this is the very rare time that Y/n gets to show off the many adorable creatures she can find.

She lifted up a rock and found a small toad. She picked it up and smiled. She ran back over to her parents to show them.

"Momma! Dadda! Look! I found a toad!" Y/n yelled as she ran up to her parents. Her mother and father looked down at her and smiled.

"Awww it's adorable" her father stated." What type of toad is it?"

"Its a red spotted toad!" Y/n said happily. "Isn't it cute."

"Of course it is sweety." Her mother said. "Now go out it back, we have to go home soon."

"OKAY!" Y/n yelled as she ran back to the rock where she found the toad. Y/n put the toad back under its rock and started to head back, until she saw something glistening by a near tree. She walked over to it and found a shiny rock. A gem.

Y/n smiled and ran off with it. She met up with her parents and they all walked back to the house. Y/n decided to not tell her parents about the gemstone. If her grandma found out, then she would never see it again.

Once they arrived home, Y/n ran up to her room and put the gem on a nearby pillow. She has no idea what type of gem it is, so she had to do some research. Her mom had an old gemstone book, so Y/n took it and read some of it. She couldn't read all the words, since she was only five. She found out it was a Ruby. And a pretty one too.

She ran downstairs to grab a wet towel to clean it off. She saw her parents and grandma leaving the house, leaving her unsupervised .

"We're going to the store, behave" her grandma said in a rude town.

"Okay." Y/n said grabbing the towel and running the sink.

"Don't you think we should bring her?" Y/n could hear her mothers quiet voice wondering through the halls of the apartment.
