"Wait. Do you hear that?" Scott questions.
"Hear what?" I respond.
"It sounds like a phone ringing."
I scoff. "What?"
"I know that ring. It's Allison's phone."
"Why would Allison be in the school?" I point out.
"I don't know," Scott shakes his head. "Give me your phone," he adds to Stiles.
Stiles pulls out his phone and hands it to Scott. Scott dials a number before pressing it against his ear. "No, it's me, where are you?" I tap my foot nervously. "Where are you right now? Where? Where are you exactly?" I glance around. "Get to the lobby. Go now."
Once we've made it the lobby of the school, we see Allison waiting for us. "Why did you come? What are you doing here?" Scott asks as we approach her.
"Because you asked me to," Allison answers.
"I asked you to?" Scott questions.
She looks down at her phone and holds it up to reveal a message that says:
Meet me at the school. URGENT.
The Alpha lured her here.
"Why do I get the feeing you didn't send this message?"
"Because I didn't," Scott states.
"All right, did you drive here?" I interrupt them.
"Jackson did," Allison replies.
"Jackson's here, too?" Scott scoffs.
"And Lydia, what's going on? Who sent this text?" Allison questions as her phone starts to ring. She answers the call. "Where are you?"
I hear a door open, and I look over to see Lydia and Jackson walking in. "Finally. Can we go now?" Lydia sighs.
There's a heavy thud above us, and I shake my head. "Run!"
After running from the Alpha for several minutes, we take refuge in a different classroom. Scott slams the doors closed and starts locking them. I walk over to the large row of windows and my eyes widen.
"Help me get this in front of the door!"
"Scott, wait, not here," I shake my head.
"What was that? Scott, what was that?" Allison presses as he and Jackson push the cabinet in front of the door.
"What came out of that ceiling?" Lydia adds.
"Will you just help me? The chairs, stack the chairs." Allison and Lydia start to grab some chairs.
"Guys... Can we just wait a second?" Stiles says from beside me. "You guys, listen to me..." They keep stacking chairs and putting them on top of the cabinet. Stiles keeps trying to get their attention, and they keep ignoring him.
I feel my blood start to boil. "HEY!" I shout before finally catching their attention.
"Okay, nice work. Really beautiful job, everyone. Now, what should we do about the 20-foot wall of windows?" Stiles asks as he gestures toward them.
They groan, and I lean against a table. "Can somebody please explain to me what's going on? Because I'm freaking out here. And I would like to know why," Allison sighs. Scott hesitates to answer. "Scott?"
Scott looks over to me, and I shrug my shoulders, so he looks over at Stiles. "Somebody killed the janitor," Stiles admits.
"What?" Lydia gasps.
"Yeah, the janitor's dead," Stiles nods.
"What's he talking about? Is this a joke?" Allison scoffs.
"What, who killed him?" Jackson asks.
"No, no, no. This was supposed to be over. The mountain lion killed...," Lydia starts.
"No, don't you get it? There wasn't a mountain lion," Jackson cuts her off.
"Who was it?" Allison exclaims. "What does he want?"
I walk over to Scott, and he looks up at me with tears in his eyes. "You need to tell them something," I whisper quietly.
"Scott!" Allison shouts.
"I-I-I don't know," Scott stutters out. "I-I just... If we go out there, he's gonna kill us."
"Us? He's gonna kill us?" Lydia asks.
"Who?" Allison presses before looking at Stiles. "Who is it?"
Scott sighs. "It's Derek. It's Derek Hale." The expression on my face warps as I stare at him with wide eyes.
You son of a bitch.
"Wait, Derek killed the janitor?" Jackson asks.
"Are you sure?" Allison sighs.
"I saw him."
"The mountain lion..."
"No, Derek killed them," Scott insists.
"All of them?" Allison gasps.
"Yeah, starting with his own sister."
I feel the anger inside me starting to boil, and it takes everything in me not to tell them the truth.
"And the bus driver?"
"And the guy in the video store. It's been Derek the whole time," Scott nods. "He's in here with us. And if we don't get out now... He's going to kill us too."
Scott slowly looks up at me, and I slowly shake my head at him. He mouths "I'm sorry" to me, but I just stare at him.
A few tears roll down my cheeks. I mouth "fuck you" to him before turning away.
