"I was visiting some friends and wasn't paying attention to the time, I'm sorry." I said as I kept my head down, trying to hide the bruises on my face.
"Tch. Just text me or something next time then." He grumbled as he came over to me. "Oi, what's wrong with you?" He asked as I still hadn't looked up at him.
"Um nothing, just tired." I lied as I tried to brush past him and go to my room.
"Bullshit. Look at me." He demanded slightly as he grabbed my arm gently. I looked up at him and saw as his expression became shocked. "What happened to you?!" He yelled out, causing me to shrink back into myself.
"What's with the yelling??!" Mom yelled as she walked down the stairs. "Oh my god! Denki!" She yelled as she ran over to me and grabbed my face softly. "What happened?" She asked as I started to tear up again.
She led me over to the couch slowly as Masaru came out from where he was in the kitchen.
"I visited some of my friends today and one of them got into an argument with me." I answered, leaving out some of the facts.
"Why?" Kat asked as he sat beside me.
"He didn't agree with something I said and got pissed so he told me to leave then ended up hitting me." I responded. I honestly didn't want to talk about it any longer but I answered all of the questions that they had.
"I don't want you going back to them." Mom said as she got up. The three of them were understandably pissed off.
"Yeah, I wasn't planning on it." I told them honestly as I grabbed an ice pack that mom had went to get me.
After everything had died down, I went up to my room to assess the damage myself. My neck had dark marks from where Shigaraki had grabbed me and I had a black eye. He had hit my cheek too but the bruise left there wasn't as bad.
"Hey Denki, you wanna come play games in my room?" I heard as I saw Katsuki standing idly in the doorway.
"Yeah sure." I answered and we went to go play some COD on his PlayStation.
"What exactly was the argument about?" He asked as we got settled in. I sighed and made sure the door was closed before answering him. I told him the complete truth of the story and he didn't seem too surprised.
"Well now we have to get into UA! Just to rub it in the whiny bitch's little face!" He said with a deadly smirk on his face. I laughed at him and we continued to play.
Eventually he got tired and decided he was going to go to sleep so I left his room.
I decided it was a good time to text Twice and I told him I made it home. We chatted for a bit before he told me he needed to go so I was left bored again.
As a way to pass the time, I got some of my books out to study them. The entrance exam was coming up and I was going to work hard so I got in. While I was studying I found myself having a daunting thought. 'What if people bully me for how smart I am again?' I questioned myself, this made me stop studying for a bit as I actually thought about it. I mean, it's not impossible that this'll happen. Kat knows this is something I'm self conscious about, he knew how much I hated it too.
'What if I hid it from people?' I thought. If I did it right no one would know. They'd just think I was dumb. Maybe then I wouldn't get bullied so much.
As I thought about it more and more I decided that I was going to pretend I wasn't smart. I'd still pass my classes and do my homework and stuff, I just wasn't going to put all of my effort into it. Katsuki was going to be pissed off when he found out, but it was ultimately my choice.
I just hoped that I could pull this off, it shouldn't be too hard but there was still a very really chance that this could all come crashing down on me.
