She giggled to herself as the ground below spread across her vision, the feeling of the rough, wooden beams beneath her bare feet. Her hair was wrapped in a couple of places around the room, ensuring she wouldn't drop. Clutching to her thick, long, hair, she looked to her left to see her signal.
The fat cat shook his head, knowing this is going to be a bad idea. Either way, he smiled at her and lifted a paw.
She let out a cry and jumped off the beam, tightening her grip on her hair. Air rushed around her as she kicked her feet for momentum. Then it fell limp as the rope of hair began acting its purpose: a swing. The hair grew taut as it carried her weight around the room in circles.
"THIS IS AWESOME, MOCHI!" she screamed, laughing as her hair wound around the room. The air felt cool and good on her face. "YOU SHOULD TRY IT!"
The cat made a face before letting out a meow of disgust and shook his head.
"WHY HAVEN'T I DONE THIS BEFORE?!"
She was too busy laughing with her head thrown back to notice how close she was to the railing of the balcony. Just as she opened her eyes, the left side of her body rammed into the wood.
"OW!" she screamed, her hands instinctively letting go to soothe her pain. She dropped four feet from where she was originally from before gripping the hair again. Mochi laughed mockingly.
"Shut up, Mochi," she grumbled. So focused on the pain in her hip, she didn't realize the other objects coming closer to her.
"SHOOT!" Scrambling from her position, she desperately tried to dodge the objects. Her body barely grazed past them. By then, her arms were tired from holding on so hard that it began to slip.
Mochi meowed in caution, distracting her. She looked over at him.
He screeched.
A loud thump echoed across the room.
"Uggggh," she moaned, sliding slowly back down to the cold, tiled floor, the unwounded hair falling on her. Soft padding came towards her. Mochi's face loomed over hers.
"Hi Mochi," she groaned. The cat snickered and patted her forehead.
"Remind me next time to make an actual swing that just goes back and forth," she told him. Mochi shrugged.
Lifting herself up, she walked weakly to her beanbag chair, the walls of the tower still spinning around her. The chair released air as the soft fabric hit her bottom and back. Sighing in delight, she snuggled deeper into it. Mochi leaped into her lap and curled himself up.
A couple of minutes later, someone called out her name.
"(Y/N)!" a distant, male voice called out. "Let down your hair!"
Her eyes flew opened and she leapt up, accidentally throwing Mochi across the room. He hissed. She cringed.
"Sorry Mochi," she apologized.
"(Y/N)!"
"Coming!" she replied, rushing to the main window of the tower. It was pretty much a door. Throwing it open, she looked down.
Her father's smiling face beamed up at her and he waved.
She smiled back before looping her hair on the hook and throwing it out to him.
The hair tumbled down, right into his hands. Hoisting his backpack onto his shoulder, he took the hair in his hands and climbed up.
"Hi father!" (Y/N) chirped when his feet were planted firmly on the ground. "How was your day?"
