Bongo Stray Dogs

Once we ensured the staff's safety we immediately left. Dazai said that he has other business to take care off so I decided to go home to my brother too. It's almost time to cook him lunch anyways.

"Where did you run off to by the way?" He asked when both of us were walking on the sidewalk.

"Somewhere, however I found something interesting" It probably wouldn't hurt to tell him what I saw this morning as this could also benefit us.

"What is it?" He seems invested now.

"Well it's obvious that the Port Mafia is already causing chaos. I saw Akutagawa this morning, he was fighting two of the Guild's member and their ship was burning" I just hope that this becomes useful in the future. I'm familiar with the priest's ability also the girl so at least we can have that information.

I explained what I saw to him but of course left the part that I saved Akutagawa and why I was really there. He doesn't need to know that yet.

"They seem dangerous. Let's just hope that Akutagawa managed to kill them" I should've checked if they lived or not but my priority was just solely focused on Akutagawa at that moment.

"The Guild is pretty dangerous as we do not know what they're capable of. Let's just hope we come out victorious after all of this" I hope we win. I hope there aren't a lot of casualties that the Agency will take.

"I'll go now" I said and waved. He bid goodbye and also went to the opposite direction, probably to meet a old friend of his.

"I'm home" I said once I got in. It's quiet so I decided to check up on my brother to see if he's alright.

When I opened the door to his room I saw that he's sleeping peacefully, I was right. He got bored and decided to sleep instead. I took off my shoes and decided to lay down beside him, I squeezed in and gave him a hug, hiding my face in his chest.

"You're home early" He sleepily said. At this point he has already wrapped his arms protectively around me. I miss this.

"Yeah" I said before closing my eyes and falling asleep in his embrace.

When I woke up the sun was still up but I could hear my phone, someone's calling me again. I looked up and saw that my brother is still sleeping, he must've been pretty exhausted these past few days that he wasn't even woken up by my phone.

I slowly lifted his arm that's around my waist and slowly got out of his embrace. I also put a pillow on my place just so he won't feel that I'm gone right away. I then went to the kitchen and made him some food.

While I was making him curry I decided to answer the call, it was yet again Dazai. I answered and put the phone in between my shoulder and ears while I prepare my brothers food.

"Dazai-"

"Where the hell are you again?! We've been busy running around all day and you've also been missing all day!" He's mad. What the heck? He literally saw me and he's wondering where I am?

"I just needed to take care of some personal businesses-" He didn't even let me explain and cut me off.

"I don't care about your personal business! The whole city is in trouble and you're nowhere to be found!"

I looked down, feeling guilty. I immediately finished what I was cooking and ran towards Akutagawa's room to get him some food.

"I'm sorry, I'll be there" He's right. I've been gone for days while they suffer because of my absence. I've been completely useless these past few days.
