"Who would like lunch?" Phil asked as they walked out the courtroom.

Tommy was bouncing up and down in excitement. "Tubbo your my brother now! I mean you were before but now you are legally!"

They had lunch together and went and got more things to make Wilbur and Tubbo's room seem like theirs.

"Symphony why are you sat alone?" Maya teased. "Where's your girlfriend?"

"He's my brother and make fun of him one more time and will break your ankles."

"Please, why would your dad ever want to adopt her? I don't even see why he adopted you. Your parents lives would have been so much better with just their biological child. They should have had biological children, adopting is disgusting."

Techno grabbed a school cafeteria plastic fork and held it up infront of him.

"You insult me or my family or my loved ones again and this goes through your throat." Techno threatened.

They sat in silence in the back of the van.

"So..."

"What? What did i do wrong?" Techno asked loudly.

"You tried to stab a girl with a plastic fork." Phil said.

"She's homophobic and transphobic and was saying that wil was my girlfriend." Techno explained angrily.

"Oh... well we'll sort this with a teacher ok? We can't keep letting you get excluded because you threatened someone with a plastic or wooden utensil."

"Ok fair. Uhmm... she said some other stuff too."

"What did she say?"

Techno stayed silent.

"Orion?"

Phil pulled into the driveway and look round at his oldest son.

"She said that she doesn't see why you adopted me and wil and that..." he paused, tears forming in his eyes, "-That adopting was disgusting and... and you should have just had biological children."

Phil looked at him sadly before climbing over the centre console into the back seat to hug techno.

"Orion... you are one of the best things that has happened to me. All of you kids are. I would adopt you in every other life if i had the chance. I promise you she's just stupid and can't see how amazing you are. My life has changed for the better after adopting you. And-" his voice cracked. "I know you understand and are hurt as much as i am by the 'biological children' thing. Tommy is a little fucking miracle and he's perfect like all of you. I don't care if your autistic or if Tommy has ADHD or if you and wil are trans because your perfect. I don't care what she says because your fucking perfect in my eyes. You always will be."

Phil pulled away and smiled.

"I'll talk to your teachers about it and sort something out ok?"

Techno nodded.

Phil opened the door and took one step out before turning back.

"And... uhm... can you... not mention to your mother the... the bio kids bit?"

"Yes dad."

"Ok. Thank you. Now we better go inside. Wil is still ill on the sofa."

"Techno got suspended again." Phil commented, making tea for him, Techno and Wilbur.
