Under the relentless sun, the arid expanse of Al Mazrah stretched out before you as Price delivered the final briefing on the mission. Intelligence had unveiled the location of Korolev, a former Russian operative who once served under Imran Zakhaev and was now attempting to escape through an underground passage. His ties to Hassan made his capture crucial, and the tension hung thick in the air as you prepared to embark. The air was thick with tension as you went into the tunnels underground. You moved swiftly through the dark labyrinthine and glance over at Soap who had stopped walking. He was staring at something on the wall.

"Did you find something?" You made your way over to him, checking your surroundings along the way.

As Soap directed your attention, he gestured towards a marked area on the wall. His words broke through the air, "Aye, take a look at this wall, lass. I think this is a door." Your gaze followed his indication to an indent, outlining a large rectangle. He pressed against it, and the wall began to shift inwards. Quickly radioing in the door's location, you awaited the arrival of Price, Gaz, Alex, and Ghost. Once the team regrouped, you descended the stairs, the atmosphere thick with anticipation. The only audible sounds were the faint rustle of cargo pants and hushed communication among the team members.

As Soap felt around the wall for a light switch, he located it and illuminated the area. Moving deeper into the facility, you encountered resistance. Bullets found their targets, eliminating cartel members one by one. With the path cleared, you and Soap advanced toward the stairs, leaving the rest of the team to explore the remaining sections of the facility. Descending another set of stairs, the air pulsated with tension as you took out a few more cartels. Upon reaching the lower level, you and Soap separated, simultaneously clearing each room.

As you step into another room, a sudden force slams you against the wall as a man from behind the door lunges at you. With a lunge, he swings, but you dodge to the side, avoiding the blow and feeling the rush of air as his fist whizzes by. Seizing the opportunity, you counter with a right punch, your knuckles connecting with his ribs. A grunt escapes him, but he quickly retaliates with a punch. You block it from connecting to your face, but it sends vibrations through your arm that hurt like hell. What you fail to realize is the pocket knife he has in his left hand. He swings it, grazing your left arm enough to draw blood.

You spin around and send a powerful kick aimed at his midsection. He manages to deflect it, but it gives you the opening you need. You twist, sweeping your leg low to take him off his feet. He stumbles and falls to the ground, and you straddle him, successfully disarming him and throwing the knife aside. However, he bucks his hips up and throws you off of him. Soap enters from the room across and points his gun at Korolev.

"It's over, Korolev. We have you like a cornered rat." Soap's Scottish accent becomes more audible in the rush of the moment. Soap doesn't catch on, but you notice the way Korolev's hand is slowly reaching for something next to him. Your eyes move toward the knife resting a couple of inches from his hand. You quickly take your throwing knife and aim for his hand. The knife goes through successfully, incapacitating him from reaching out and grabbing it. He screams out in pain and lets out a string of curses at you in Russian. Soap takes the knife out of his hand before pinning him to the ground. You take the cuffs out of your vest and secure them on his wrists.

Over the radio, Price's voice chimes in, "Bravo 7-1, this is Actual. We located the second missile." You exchange a glance with Soap before lifting Korolev off the ground.

"Understood. We'll make our way over to you. We have Korolev," Soap confirms, and you both begin your journey back.

What they had discovered sent a chill down your spine as you made your way back up the stairs. Rows upon rows of sleek missile silos, and at the end of the many rows was a large missile. Alex began collecting intelligence and any evidence he could find, transmitting what you found back to command center. While Price was talking to Laswell, Gaz tied Korolev to a chair in the middle of the room. If anyone knew who was responsible for orchestrating the plan of stealing general shepherds missiles, it would be him. Price and Ghost were always the experts when it came to extracting information from people.
