Time traveling is not as easy as it sounds. It is not a miraculous cure that fixes the Galaxy in one go. No Sir. It takes years of hard work and when you get to where Anakin was, having changed as much as he had, you woke up one day without recognizing the Galaxy you are in. After having changed so much, it tends to affect the timeline you came from. Which is why until then he had not even recalled Mortis or the various Sith Temples. Not until the force had given him a dream of what could have happened in his original timeline. What he saw made him rage. Kriffing Siths! They can't Just leave the sky walkers alone! His grandson Ben being brainwashed, another Sith Empire on the rise... He really needed to put a stop to it.

Which meant going to Mortis. Alone.

He was not risking Obi-Wan and Ahsoka to that place again. So, of course, Anakin went to Mortis, sacrificed the father to combine the brother and the Sister into the Balance, stepping the Brother from escaping and allow in Anakin to escape from Mortis. Not before, telling the Balance that to pay him back for his help, they would need to destroy every Sith Temple. That way the Sith won't be able to remain in the land of the living and possess anyone again.

"Where to next General?" Rex asked Anakin as he entered the Control Center of the Ekkreth.

"To Mustafar," Anakin replied, taking his seat. "There's a star there that needs to be destroyed before it becomes death itself."

"A death star?" Fives joked, not noticing how Anakin tensed at his words.

"Premonition dreams, you gotta love them or hate them," Anakin joked lamely, sighing in relief when an upcoming from the Negotiator. "Obi," Anakin smiled, happy to see his beloved after his time in Mortis. "How's Curoscant?"

"Well, we are not in Curoscant," Cody informed them when he noticed that Obi-Wan was not going to say anything- the poor Jedi was looking ahead unfocused. "We are on our way to Mandalore, to join Lady Shmi, General Secura, Jedi Master Voss, and Korkie."

"What even are they doing in Mandalore?" Anakin asked confused.

"Maul is alive... well, he was alive," Obi-Wan mumbled, in a state of shock. Oh, shit! Anakin mentally cursed himself. How did I forget about that? How the kriff do I continue to forget about this things?! "My son is now the Mand'alor."

Korkie? Really? Anakin raised an eyebrow impressed. Good for him! Out loud he said: "I think you are skipping quite a few chapters there Obi. Darth Maul survived your attack in Naboo? How did Korkie become the Mand'alor? Do the two things have anything to do with one another?"

Watching Obi-Wan open his mouth and fail to say something, Cody took over. "So, Darth Maul took over the Death Watch and attacked Mandalore with the objective of luring out Obi-Wan and having his revenge on our General. At the end, the 327th and Asajj Ventress, who seems to be a Pirate Queen now, went to fight them off with the aid of the True Mandalorians and Korkie came into possession of the darksaber after killing him for revenge for killing his mother. Fun fact, Ventress is no longer a Sith!"

I knew she had done it in the other timeline, but look at that... I'm impressed, Anakin praised internally. It took quite literally the enslavement of the Galaxy and my son being tortured before me to leave the darkside. Then again, Ventress has always been a stubborn bitch.

As for the death of Satine Kryze Anakin felt nothing at all. He could not celebrate her death, as he knew her los would weight on Obi-Wan and Korkie. Yet, he could not mourn it either. His loathing for her being too much for that. Anakin called it maturing. Though, he was not as mature as to say he was sure he would party and dance over the future grave of Palpatine. That is, if Anakin even allows them to make him a grave.
