(Y/n) was startled out of her sleep when she heard violent banging at her door. She immediately stood from her bed as she cautiously listened to the sound. She turned to read the time. It was three o'clock in the morning. Who would be making so much noise at her front door at this hour?
She had silently prayed that it wasn't Paninya or Winry, for the two had been blowing up her phone ever since the wedding. (Y/n) felt terrible for ignoring the calls, but she knew that it was best for herself and Winry if she stepped away for good. She was even looking for a new, affordable apartment that she could live in alone during her senior year.
(Y/n) slipped on a pair of slippers and hesitantly walked down the hall to approach her door. She leaned forward to spy through the peephole, and her heart dropped when she saw who was standing on the other side.
The woman leaned back, heart in her throat. She had purposely been avoiding the Elrics, and was incredibly shocked to see the reason behind this isolation standing at her door in the middle of the night.
Against her better judgment, she slowly unlocked the door and opened it.
Edward's fist froze midair when he made eye contact with the (e/c) eyed woman. His chest rose and fell quickly as he stared at her with hard eyes. Suddenly, everything that happened between the two of them came crashing down like a tidal wave.
After a few moments of silence, (Y/n) mustered up the courage to speak. "Um... what are you doing here?" she whispered, peeking her head out of the door to look around. "Do you realize what time it is?"
Edward couldn't speak. He just stared at her. She was dressed in a large shirt that dwarfed her form and exposed her smooth bare legs. She wore no bra underneath, and Edward could tell by the way the fabric lay against her chest.
His eyes shot back up to her face, a fire burning within his irises.
"Edward?" (Y/n) asked gradually.
The blonde suddenly pried the door open all the way and pushed past the young woman, making his way into her home uninvited. (Y/n) furrowed her brows, turning to watch him roam about her house.
"Excuse you," she started, shutting the door behind her. "You can't just walk in here at 3 in the morning unannounced. I never said you could come in."
"Cut the bullshit," she heard Edward hiss as he stopped in the middle of her living room.
Though (Y/n) was still slightly groggy, Edward's tone managed to wake her up. "What?"
The Elric turned to face her, a peeved expression on his face. "You think you can just fall off the face of the earth after the stunt you pulled on my wedding day?" he released a sarcastic laugh. "You got another thing coming."
"Are you serious?" (Y/n) breathed, glued to the door as she stared at Edward from a distance. "You wanna have this conversation now? It's the middle of the fucking night."
"I don't give a shit what time it is," he barked as he marched back up to (Y/n). She could feel the heat emitting from his skin when he approached her, and she pressed her back against the door in fear of his close proximity. "How dare you do this to me?"
(Y/n)'s face contorted into irritation. "I didn't do anything to you."
"Oh, that's rich!" he scoffed. "You just tell me you love me and leave me to deal with that? You think that's okay?"
"You forced me to tell you, Edward! I didn't want anyone to know!" she argued. "And yes, I left because clearly my involvement with the two of you only makes things worse."
