Save Me!!

The week went by VERY slowly. By the way, the hospital had the NASTIEST FOOD! Maddy HATED mashed potatoes and gravy and that is of course was what she got every night. When it was finally Friday evening Maddi was psyched! She couldn't believe that she was going out on a date with Braden Johnson in like 1 hour!
She just couldn't!
Maddi's mom and dad had gotten back the day before so her mom was helping her pick out her outfit. They were deciding between a daisy tank with dark blue jeans or a hi-lo dress with pink,blue,and fuchsia abstract.
She was pretty positive she wanted the daisy tank with the jeans, but she still loved the dress. She wasn't really focused at all so that was probably why she couldn't pick.
Maddi was tired of hearing her mom's voice in the background talking about how she liked the dress but also liked the tank and jeans or something, so she just said," I'll just wear the tank and jeans then. I still have to actually get ready so we can't be on this subject all night."
Maddi's mom handed her the outfit and Maddi got up to go change. It had been much easier to move after they took the bandages around her stomach of on Tuesday.
When Maddi came out she look AMAZING!
She honestly couldn't believe it was her and she hadn't even done her makeup yet! She asked her mom how she looked and her mom couldn't even speak. She just sat there with her mouth gaping kind of like a fish. Maddi said," Im guessing that's good?" "Yes. Of course. Yes. It's just....it's so sad to see my baby girl grow up all of a sudden." Her mom said on the verge of tears.
"Oh Mom" she said,also of the verge of tears, while pulling her mom into a hug at the same time.
When the hug had finished Maddi said," Luckily i haven't put my makeup on yet." with a giggle. Her mom giggled back. "I'll go do that now." Maddi said wiping away a tear. She went to the bathroom.
Maddi came out and looked ten times better. All she added was some bronzer, orange eyeshadow, blush, and mascara and that made her look this good?
She turned around and told her mom that she was ready to go. Her mom grabbed the car keys and her coat. She headed for the door just as Maddi's dad walked in. One glance at Maddi and tears built up in his eyes. He said,"Kimberly... our little girl isn't little anymore." Maddi giggled and said,"Yep and honestly it feels great! We were just about to head out soooooooo..... Love you! And BYE!" Maddi gave her dad a quick peck on the cheek and walked out the door.

Maddi got in the car and waited for her mom while reading a book. It was about a girl in the future who was a cyborg and was the long lost Princess Selene/ The rightful Lunar heir. She loved it. She practically felt like she lived with Cinder.
As Maddi finished off the 12th chapter her mom got in the car. Maddi wouldn't have noticed if her mom hadn't almost screamed," I can't believe this is your first date!"
"What was that supposed to mean?"
"Well I just meant that I'm surprised that it's only your first date. I thought that more people would ask you out."
"Actually a couple of guys have. I just didn't like them."
"Oh. Ok."
Maddi's mom started the car and backed out of the parking spot.

When they were about five minutes from the theatre a cat ran across the high way and made Maddi's mom had to run off the road and into the trees. The air bags went off and hit Maddi's face. She heard a large crack and thought that a branch had punctured the windshield but when the airbag lost all the air her noise felt like it was broken. She suspected that that was the actual cracking noise.
Maddi looked to her left, at her mom, and she, hoped, was unconscious. She reached for her purse put it was jammed between her seat and the door. Luckily, her moms purse was right beside her and she could get the phone.
She opened it and dialed 911 and when they picked up after 5 rings they said," 911 whats your emergency?"
" PLEASE HELP! My mom was driving and a cat ran across the road she swerved and we drove into the woods!! My moms unconscious and I think my nose is broken!"
"Ma'am calm down. What road are you on?"
"Were on highway 90 about five minutes North of The Ridge. PLEASE HELP US!"
" Emergency vehicles are on the way. Please stay calm and try to wake up your mom."
" Ok please hurry"
Maddi hung up and poked her mother while yelling," MOMMY! WAKE UP PLEASE WAKE UP!!"
She did this frequently until she heard sirens and when she did hear them she felt left there was 500 pounds taken off her shoulders. There was still another 500 because now she couldn't go on that date with Braden. She started to cry. And cry. And cry. When the ambulance finally got to the woods were they were in she stopped. She tryed to lift her arm up to her face but it was stuck to were it was a inch away from it. She gave up.
Just as she was about to try again she heard a chainsaw start to cut away trees. She heard someone yell," Just stay calm! We're cutting away the trees and we'll get you out after that!"

It took them a few minutes but they were finally able to get Maddi and her mom out. They said her mom will probably be unconscious for a day or so with a few broken bones, but she will be all right. They also told her that Maddi was still able to go on her date with Braden but she would be late. Maddi said," Ok how late though?"
"About 5-20 minutes."
" Ok that's not to bad. Let me just text him really quick."
Maddi pulled out her phone and inspected it to she how damaged it was from the crash. Her favorite case was missing a piece the size of a quarter, the screen was shattered, and the picture was blurry, but it was still usable..... Hopefully.
She pulled up iMessage.
Maddi:" Hey there was a accident and I will be 5-20 minutes late..."
Braden:" That's fine there is still like 30 min till the movie starts anyways. What happened? Is everyone ok?"
Maddi:" A cat ran across the highway and ran my mom and I off the road. My mom is unconscious with a few broken bones and I have two broken fingers, but other than that were fine. I talked to the police and they said they would launch an investigation because there's a fence were we crashed into the woods and it's to tall, even for a cat, to jump over."
Braden:" What do they think happened?"
Maddi:" They think that Jenn and Alli did something they found a size 6 shoe print in the gravel and they both wear a size 6..."
Braden:" I really hope it wasn't them because that would mean there still trying to kill you..."
Maddi:"You and me both...."
