Dear Heart, Why Him? | Han Jisung Centric (?)

Chan rushes to the dance hall when he finds out Minho will be performing his new choreography for NewJeans' new song. Hyunjin and Felix were chatting with Jisung when he arrived. The sight of his little brother there caused him to furrow his brow. Isn't Jisung supposed to have a meeting with the scriptwriter for his novel adaptation?

"Sungie?"

"Hyung.."Jisung greeted him with a forced smile. Chan glanced at Hyunjin and Felix, but neither seemed to notice anything wrong with the small boy.

"Let's go to my office."Chan invited, even though he knew he would miss seeing his crush or best friend's new choreography.For the first time, Jisung did not protest his brother's actions.

"Everything is fine?"asked Minho, who had just appeared.

"Hmm. Everything is fine,"answered Chan with a smile. He quickly dragged his little brother away from the dance hall without waiting for a reply from Minho.

Chan requested his PA to make hot chocolate for them before entering the office. Once Jisung had put his phone on the table, he lay on the couch. He knows, there are some things he can't hide from his brother.

"I encountered Hyunjin-hyung's cousin at Rainbow Entertainment. He was trying to flirt with me."

Jisung's news caught Chan by surprise.

Hwang Kwang, the cousin of Hyunjin, is a well-known playboy. Hyunjin made several complaints to Chan and Minho about Kwang's frequent visits to his parent's house and the spread of false information about him. Hyunjin is lucky because his parents are not easily deceived by Kwang's false story.

"Did he do anything else?"

Jisung shook his head.

"But.."

"But?"Chan approached his brother, who was leaning on the couch. His PA came in to serve hot chocolate before departing again.

"But he said he likes me, hyung. Since we were in high school."

"Do not trust what that asshole says."

"I know, but I sense something is off. Then, he talks bad about Hyunie-hyung. I don't like it."

Chan hugged his younger brother. He knows, Jisung doesn't like anyone saying something bad about Minho, Hyunjin, or Chan. Jisung has a soft spot for them, so if anyone talks nonsense, the little boy will feel heartbroken.

"It would be a good idea to let Hyunjin know about this."

"I don't think that is a good idea.."Hyunjoon said while glancing at his best friend who was blowing his nails. Jisung has completed polishing his nails with his help.

"Why?"Jisung asked without looking at him.

Hyunjoon examined the nail polish bottle. The price of nail polish is more expensive than his entire daily meal.

"Because you still likes him."

"I like everyone except Dohyun and Kwang."Jisung defended himself.

"Yes, you are, but he was different. You are in love with him. I think it's not a good idea for you to ignore your feelings. Perhaps you still haven't moved on from him."

This time he caught Jisung's attention, but it wasn't long before the boy started looking back at his pretty nails.

"Dear heart, why him?"

"Huh?"Hyunjoon titled his head. He doesn't understand Jisung's words.

"Why him? Among the many people in this world, why him?"Jisung murmured with a disappointed tone.

Hyunjoon smiles.

"It's about feelings, Sungie.."

"I know but why him, Hyunjoonie? Why not someone else? Maybe it would be easier if he wasn't someone I know. He was my first crush and first love."

Hyunjoon gave Jisung a side hug and the small boy leaned his head on his shoulder.

"Move on, Sungie. You've already confessed to him. But he rejected it without hesitation. And, don't forget, some relationships that simply remain friends."

"But I don't want to!"

"Han Jisung.."

Jisung glared at his brother for mentioning his full name. He was aware that Chan did not want to hear any excuses from him. He grunted before giving the wine bottle he had in his arms. The older smiles after the wine bottle passes through their hands.

"I don't want you to end up in the hospital due to this wine."

The younger didn't reply, instead he sat on the couch. At that time, he was in his brother's house. Chan made the most of the opportunity to preserve the wine. In addition, he took his laptop and brought it to the living room.

"Hyung, can I ask you something?"

Jisung turned to look at his hyung who was sitting on the thick carpet. The coffee table is where his laptop is located.

"Shoot,"Chan replied simply.

"What are the reasons you like Minho-hyung?"

Chan, who was typing on the keyboard, stopped when he heard a question from his little brother. What is the reason he likes Minho?  He rephrased the question in his mind.

"To be honest, I don't know. The feeling arises spontaneously. The only thing that is certain is that I have the desire to kiss Minho more than Hyunjin."

"Hyung, ew!"

The elder just rolled his eyes.

"Oh yes, before I forget, Yeonjun wants to meet you."

Jisung's eyes widened as his brother mentioned the name of his parent's neighbor. Without being asked, the feeling of nervousness began to appear. The taller man's face started to appear in his mind as well. He began recalling all their conversations that night.

Does this meeting have anything to do with what they talked about that night? Oh no! Please no!
