Y/n = Your name || N/n = Your nickname || M/c = Main color || S/c = Secondary/other colors || O/c = Optic color || F/n = Friend name
Setting: Middle of Prime, on Earth. During season three, episode three, when all the Autobots are scattered and Ultra Magnus arrives.
Other: Not a romantic story, may develop into one in the future. Technically is the same character/story as in every other one-shot except, "More than Friends," with Knockout.I recommend reading the other two Ultra Magnus stories.
He may or may not be my favorite to write about—---------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------I sat in my alt-mode, behind a human house. With the base destroyed and every Autobot scattered, I decided to go to an old friend of mine - from my time as an inactive Decepticon during the three years of Megatron's absence. It had been forever since then, but I trusted this human.
Luckily his home was on a very large property, and he was a part of the airforce, so a huge military jet didn't stand out too much.
I had been sitting in alt mode for a few days, and it was getting cramped. So I decided to transform. F/n wasn't here right now, so I decided to go for a walk through the forest.
I paused, hearing the sound of some sort of aircraft, and ducked into the shadows of a large tree. I listened quietly as the ship seemed to fly over to the house, landing in a clearing. I peered around the trees and paused, seeing a large cybertronian ship. An Autobot ship. I emerged from my hiding place, my guard still up.
A hatch opened, and I relaxed after seeing familiar faces: Arcee, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Jack. "Y/n!"
I stared blankly, something bugging my processor. I recognize that ship.....The autobots stepped off the platform: revealing someone else.
"Oh, f-"
I transformed my blades, Ultra Magnus equipped his blasters. "Y/n!"
"Magnus-!?"
"You are under arrest-"
"No, wait!" Arcee and the others all held the commander back, "she's an Autobot now!"
I stood there in my battle stance. Logically, I should stand down. But of all the Autobots to show up, it was this guy? Seriously?
Thinking about it, I really shouldn't care. Magnus is the only Autobot I've ever actually respected. But that's also because he's the one mech to ever capture me. Multiple. Fragging. Times. Being an Autobot has already been a living hell, now I have to suffer through it under the command of someone who can name my every crime by memory?
Ultra Magnus transformed his blasters back to servos, albeit hesitantly. As the others slowly stepped back, I finally got myself to unequip my weapons. Ultra Magnus stared at me, his face stoic as usual. But after knowing him so long, I could see the hints of confusion and suspicion.
"Hello, sir," I stuttered, standing up straighter. Everyone looked at each other awkwardly. Ultra Magnus was the first to break the silence, "We still have two more signals to meet up with. Soldiers," he looked at me, "time to go."
Everyone boarded the ship. I stood in the back. Jack looked between me and Magnus, before looking at Arcee. "What's the deal with these two?"
Arcee glanced at me, "Just her history as a Decepticon. Before Ultra Magnus became a commander, he was a sort of bounty hunter. Except he didn't collect bounties. He went after the worst of the Decepticons. Y/n was pretty high on the list."
I glanced at Magnus, who calmly steered the ship. I shifted the weight in my pedes. Ultra glanced at a screen which showed the passengers behind him. We made optic contact. Both looked away.
Ultra Magnus turned on autopilot and stood up, walking over to me. "We need to talk." I just nodded, and we both walked to the back of the ship.
I leaned against a wall, and Magnus stood on the one opposite to me. We both stared at each other for a few moments.
"You consider yourself an autobot now?"
"Yes sir."
"You aren't wearing an Autobot badge?"
"No sir, I am not."
"Can I trust you?"
I opened my derma to respond, then paused. "Yes sir, so long as we are fighting on earth. I still consider myself a Decepticon, but so long as Megatron threatens other species not involved in the war, I will fight against him. The humans have done nothing to deserve to become our collateral damage."
Magnus and I looked at each other a little longer before he nodded, satisfied with my response.

Ultra Magnus' POV~
Ultra Magnus went back to controlling the ship, Y/n choosing to stand in the back. As Magnus followed the signals which would turn out to be Ratchet and Bumblebee, he was lost in thought.
Usually he would be judging Y/n to be one of two things: a faker who was playing at a bigger game, or someone who had actually changed. The second option being very unlikely, especially with someone like her.
But her response gave him a lot to think about. Magnus always thought of Y/n as just another Decepticon, one who seemed even crazier and more unstable than most. And yet she turned against her own for a completely different race. Surely she knew that if the war ever left earth, Y/n would never be welcomed back to the Decepticon ranks?
Strangest of all, Y/n, the most informal, crazy, wrench-helmed femme ever, treated Ultra with respect. Even the other Autobots had been strangely informal, but Y/n acted as if it were natural. From opposite sides of a war, to fighting side by side. This was going to be an interesting dynamic.

FanfictionI love fluff one shots so screw it, I'm making my own. Requests are open, but I cannot guarantee they get done. This is more so for me, since honestly other one shot books never capture my personal character right. But I can totally write different...
