Peridot x Reader [Steven Universe]

As you and Peridot walked into your room, Peridot seemed to be walking a bit to close to you, as the both of you stood in front of the door you heard noises as if something or someone was scratching the floor. "What's that." You said nervously. "I don't know, just open the door, stop being so scared, it's probably nothing, you're just over reacting." Peridot said barley pushing you to the door. You closed your eyes, as you opened the door, you and peridot looked at each other as you turned the light off. Then you felt something bump into one of your shoes, you tensed up. Peridot began laughing. "What is it." You said shaking. "Look down." She said laughing some more. You looked down and you saw the small robinod that you had saved from Peridot crawling on your shoe, you let out a laugh, as you looked at Peridot who was still laughing. "Ok, let's put you on my bed." You said picking up the little robinod and putting it on the bed that was crawling around, you then you got a blanket and put it around the little robot. "There now you can't crawl around and scare me anymore." You said petting the top of it, you then turned around to see Peridot who had been smiling at you, as you looked at her she turned away. "What was this great human technology you had to show me." She said walking away from you. "Oh yeah the Internet, but beware the Internet is a scary place, if you go in you will never be the same again." You said as you walked to your computer, as you sat in your chair. "Like right, none of your earth stuff, could do anything like that." She said standing next to you. The screen came up, showing your screensaver that was a small kitten with a watermelon hat. "What the heck is that!?" She screamed. "That is an adorable kitten, they are a cute and people love them on this planet." You say petting the screen. "You humans worship these adorable kittens, and the thing on its head is a show of their power." She inquired very interested. "No, not that at all. It's a pet, they stay with you and be your friend." You stated smiling. "What's the point of it, will it help you in combat." You turned at her, as she said this. "No, just to be a friend and be adorable, and you take care of it." You said then you began opening the Internet. 'What to do first, what will impress her.' You clicked the search bar. "So you take care of it and get nothing in return." She questioned confused. "Well you do get something out of it." You said as you typed in funny cat video in the search bar a smile formed on your face. "Really, does it clean you living quarters, or does it turn into a vehicle." She said leaning in on your shoulder, "What are you doing (Y/N)" she questioned, almost whispering in you ear. Your felt your face burning, 'please back up, please back up.' You screamed in your head. "I'm showing you what cats give us in return." You said nervously as you hit enter, then clicking on a TubeTube video that was only a couple of seconds long, it was simply call funny cat video. '0h how original.' You thought as the video began to buffer, you saw Peridot lean forward towards the screen, the video started as a there was a box, and then it fell on its side and a cat jumped out at the camera, making a really funny meow sound. You giggled as it ended. "That what cats do." You said smiling turning to her, she was holding her chest. "Are you ok, Peridot-chan." You said petting her shoulder gently. "I know what cats are know, evil creatures used to eat monitors, so why did you just have a transmission with that monster." She then making her fingers making a hologram floaty thing. "No it's a video, it was filmed beforehand, and it is supposed to be funny not scary." You explained to her as you giggled a little. "That is not entrainment that is how you killed someone, that could have put me in regeneration." She said wheezing. "Sorry, I think that might be enough internet for you." You said closing the window, and shutting the computer off, as a disappointed sigh came out of your mouth. "Well your internet is a great torture device." She said walking off then typing something into the strange screen. "Peridot-chan what are you doing?" You said walking towards her. "I'm testing to if my hologram and connection to homeworld is working, and documenting the knowledge you've been giving me of this planet." She said as she kept typing not looking at you. You then got a question that she never really answered. "Peridot-chan, why did you come to earth, was it just to do research I mean I know you need to go to this beach city, but that doesn't really tell me why you're here." You said in friendly tone, "You humans wouldn't understand, but I'll tell you anyway (Y/N) I came here to check on the cluster, and this beach city you will take me to is very close to the location of the kindergarten where the cluster is located, now shut up." She said the huffed and her fingers went back to floating over her arm stubs, not looking at you. "Oh, I see, I don't really know what the kindergarten or what this cluster is, but I know it must be really important and I know it probably means you trust me to tell me that alien stuff." You said smiling, you then heard some dubstep coming from your phone. Peridot looked at you and raised her eyebrows. "(Y/N) what's that?" She asked a little more calmly then the last couple times there was something new, you took your phone out, and checked the message it was just telling you that you service would be renewed. "Oh that's my ring tone, I just made it some random dubstep, you like it." You said laughing a bit, then Peridot slowly started to nod her head yes. "I did." You smiled and clapped her hands. "Really, okay want to listen to some more." You shouted so excited to have a dubstep buddy. "Wait, there is more of this?" She said in awe. "Yes, and this can show you what else the Internet can do." You said graving her arm thing and returning to the computer.
