(A/N: If anyone's watched Ejen Ali, you probably have an idea on what's gonna happen lol. Why I'm doing this, idk. This probably isn't too great of an idea, but well- Who cares? It's my book and I wanna have fun with it.)
V was holding Jeze up by the neck, grinning from one end of her face to the other, quite literally. He was pretty sure she was innovating new ways to painfully kill him right now.
"H-Huh? Wh-What do you mean?", N stuttered out. V didn't acknowledge him. Jeze was pretty sure that she was more focused on how exactly she would make a football out of Jeze's severed head, probably. And he couldn't do anything about it either. His body wasn't working. His arms were shaking too much to cut through anything with the katana. His visor was a glitchy mess, and it was a wonder how he could still perceive V's face. The katana slipped out of his shaking hands, landing with a clang.
"He's going to be my new 'pet'", V stated out loud, as she crushed the katana's oil-stained blade under her foot, splitting it into two parts cleanly. N's eyes widened. He knew how sadistic V could be. And being a pet in V's language.. N shuddered just thinking about it. J rolled her eyes, annoyed by her teammates' antics.
"Come on you two. These vents'll get us over the last door. We got a colony to purge.", J spoke, wanting to eliminate the colony quickly. V sighed, tossing Jeze unceremoniously to the other side of the small room.
"Ugh, fine. Lowest body count eats a missile!", and with those encouraging words, V flew into the vents, disappearing from their view. Now only J, N, and Jeze remained. J tsked, glaring down Jeze's glitchy visor for a moment before she went to N and began talking with him.
Jeze couldn't hear anything though. After V had thrown him, his audio receptors had suddenly shut down. Great, not only were his legs gone, his ears were also gone. He was going to become a disabled drone soon enough. Oh yeah, and his visor was glitched up. So he was partially blind too. That was absolutely amazing too, now he was very, very, vulnerable.
V's sadistic face still clawed at his CPU, making his emotion processor produce an ungodly amount of fear. And she'd said he was going to be her pet..
Normally, he'd be disgusted at the thought. He'd seen enough stuff to know how deeply unholy being a 'pet' was. Thing was, V probably didn't watch anime.. Or any media in general. There wasn't a way to watch it in the pod at least. Not only that, but N had also told him about how she slaughtered her victims. If he had to make a guess, he was going to be her personal punching bag until he broke from the torture and begged her to die.
The worst part was that he couldn't even run away. Maybe that was why his Brute Force Physics Engine hadn't clicked in. If his legs were useless, there was no way he could run around and dodge, right? Then, code snippets began to flash across his screen again. However, they were going too fast for him to read. Then a big message flashed over his screen. One that didn't make sense at all.
Deploying repair nanites
Nanites?! That- He didn't have repair nanites, right? He'd heard of nanites a lot as well. Worker Drones had a small amount of them so that the humans didn't need to pay any maintenance costs. It wasn't enough to make them efficient killing machines like the Murder Drones who could tank Uzi's Railgun, otherwise they would've rebelled by themselves.
There were also different kinds of nanites. The Worker Drones were given the maintenance nanite model, which focused mainly on keeping the circuits in working order and stuff.
There were Acidic Nanites or Disassembly Nanites, which would break down anything they came into contact with. Specifically, certain metallic substances. They were also deactivated when in contact with a haloalkane. Something about being able to identify the precipitate formed, his chemistry wasn't really his strong suit. Thing was, they hadn't been able to find any halogens on the planet since the Murder Drones began their attack, so they could never really do anything about people who were being destroyed by those nanites. It was also why he had been surprised when N revealed that their saliva could neutralise the nanites from his tail.
