~first day at a new school~
Cassie kind of hoped the ride to school would be longer, but it was only ten minutes later when her cousin's car pulled up in the school's parking lot.
Cassie let's out a deep and long sigh, not moving in any way to get out of the car.
She only felt her cousin's gaze on her, and then his voice spoke in a sort of comforting way. "You'll be okay."
Cassie didn't know if it was actually comforting her, or making her feel even worse.
"I kinda wish you were still in highschool so I didn't have to go in alone."
Max just chuckled and said teasingly, "I'll walk you to the door if you-"
"No, I'm good." She said immediately and opened the car door. She heard Max laughing before slamming the door shut and throwing her bag over her one shoulder. She then watches as her cousin's grey Jaguar car pulled away and drove off, leaving Cassie standing there alone in the parking lot.
She watches as the teenagers greeted their parents and headed towards the school's entrance. She sighed deeply again, before forcing herself to move towrads the building as well.
As she entered the school building, the murmurs and laughs was all heard by the teenagers who seemed so happy to be there. 'who in their right mind would be happy being at school?'
'people with friends.' She answered herself. 'something I'm gonna struggle making.'
Cassie sighed and slowly pushes herself to start walking down the hallway. Her eyes darted to her left-hand side where a group of teens were hanging out at a locker. Laughing at some 'probably-not-that-funny-joke' a guy with green hair made that looks like it hasn't been brushed or treated in days.
She then darted her eyes to her left-hand side where a couple made intense eye contact. 'disgusting.' Cassie thought as she focused her gaze in front of her. Just as she focused her gaze ahead of her, she felt a hard blow against her chest and forehead.
The blow caused her to stumble backwards, almost falling down. Immediately her hand went up to her head as her eyes narrowed at the thing she bumped in to. Or more like, the person. She didn't even get a proper glance at the guy except for his dark hair before he snapped, "watch where you're going!"
His voice was an Australian accent. Of course. This is Australia after all. His voice was deep and harsh. Cassie frowned and scoffed. Where is people's manners these days?!
Before Cassie could yell something after him, her inner-self stopped her. She knew better. 'Besides, he was maybe just having a bad day start.' She told herself as she saw a girl rushing angrily out of the same classroom the mean guy rushed out of. It made her wonder. 'Are they-? No. It's none of your business Cassandra!' She warned herself and continued walking.
In the office, she got herself a timetable for her classes and walked around the school aimlessly, searching for her first class. She was literally the only one left in the hallways.
After two flights of stairs, she came across the class door she was looking for. The number on the door said 112. This must be...the music class?
She took a deep breath and pushed the door open, entering the class.
Sorry for the short chapter y'all. But it's going to be like that a lot... anyways, hope you guys enjoy....cause the next chapter's gonna be spicy. :)))
