Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago or even the OCs. Just the story. (Do I have to do this for every ch-)
Max stood in front of his mirror, uncomfortably trying to adjust his tie. Why, just why does his school need a school uniform? He did not remember much of what he did at school. The last thing he remembers was meeting the Headmaster.
"Are you going on a date with my cousin again?" Great, it was Zeke. Always there to tease anyone about their relationship, he really did take over his father's trait.
He turned around to see Zeke leaning on the doorframe, Max noticed something wasn't right, something was-
"Why did you open the door?" Max pointed at the door. Ah, the door was meant to be closed.
"The door was opened." Zeke responded in a serious tone "I am not being a creep, I promise." Zeke shrugged as he left.
So far, so many weird things happened today. First, it was Justin's behaviour, everyone's behaviour at school, his girlfriend's behaviour and the door being opened when he vividly remembers closing it.
He sighed as he attempted to tie his tie again. This time he was successful. Max smiled at the mirror before untying the tie to try to tie a tie again. As he was doing this he just realised. Why is he doing it? Why does it have to be perfect? Max sighed again before fully stopping the attempt to tie a tie and carefully putting it in his drawer. Weird. As long as he knew, he was never neat.
As he left the room, he bumped into Alex. Alex was also surprised by Justin as well.
"Hey, Max." Alex weakly smiled at Max as she did with Rosie."What's wrong?" He knew something was off, she was wearing clothes neatly which she never does.
"Nothing, it's about our relationship."
"What's wrong with our relationship? I thought we had it fixed after what Emma has done to us."
"Nothing. I just think it takes a large amount of time when we should be focusing on our school."
"Right." Max had no idea where this was going.
"So I was thinking, what if we set up a schedule? Like an hour of dating and maybe an hour of school work. Just like what Sheldon Cooper does!"
"What about us being a ninja? That can fit in surely."
"We can do that for emergency uses."
"Sure." Max was confused by Alex's suggestion but decided to go with it. Nothing can go wrong, right?
Meanwhile, on the other side of the monastery, Justin and Rosie were having a chat while they were walking down the hallway.
"So, how was school? Or better, our new Headmaster?"
"He's ok." When she met the new Headmaster, it was awkward. With him insisting on looking into his eyes and giving orders before giving us new uniforms.
"What do you mean, ok?" Justin gave her a puzzling look.
"Fine, what do you think of him?"
"The Headmater's an inspirational educator and he's really turned the school around." Justin looked at Rosie as if he was admiring the Headmaster
"But when I met him, he was nothing like that." When she visited the Headmaster he did not seem inspirational. His robotic tone did not help either.
"Perhaps to you. But not to me." Justin looked at Rosie one last time, but it was not a loving look but a look he would give when he looked at his younger brothers and sisters.
Ninjago High School
It was assembly time. All the students were at the assembly hall. Both Rosie and Max were also there, having been informed by Justin and Alex, the new prefects of the school, along with others.
Soon the Headmaster arrived at the assembly Hall with the Deputy Headmaster as well as his prefects following in a line behind him. When they arrived at the stage, all Prefect lined up in an orderly manner in front of the stage Headmaster was in.
The Headmaster walked up to the podium where he announced the changes and notices.
"Now, it is time to announce two very important things. First off, the new prefects." The hall was filled with claps which Max did out of courtesy but not Rosie. She finds it strange.
"They are Pax, Jeke, Zuliet, Hason, Marper, Fosie, Relix, Alex and Justin. They will make sure this school will be running as it should be, bring order to chaos and help every student to be the best they can be."
Another clap ensured but stopped shortly before the Headmaster spoke.
"I have another announcement. Tomorrow, we will have a Grand Art Exhibition, where we bring every masterpiece of each student to life and this is a chance to invite your parents or caregivers. They are welcome. With new Prefects in place, I can assure your parents that this will go smoothly. And Alex will be the Head Artist overlooking this Art Exhibition. That will be all." The Headmaster looked at the room for the last time before leaving the stage.
"Grand Art Exhibition, interesting." Max gave an interested look on his face as he walked off before being interrupted by Rosie. "Do you think that he is using this to get all our parents under his control?"
"Isn't that a bit far-fetched?" Max whispered, not wanting to get in trouble. He was excited about an Art Exhibition, he had never been to one because well, he is a busy person. However, he missed the glaring issue.
"Look at Alex and Justin, don't you think they are acting a little weird?" Rosie looked at Justin and Alex, who was standing neatly, and still like a robot. "And Alex being the Head artist? Alex hates art!"
"I guess so." Max shrugged at his nindroid friend. "People can change." He never saw her girlfriend's artistic side before. He wonders if she secretly draws every day.
Rosie just realised something. What about Mason and Juliet? They both had not seen them all day yesterday. They both have not seen them in the monastery either. Maybe they are having a secret night out again? But it does not look like the case here.
As both Max and Rosie walked outside the hall, they encountered Juliet and Mason. It does not look like they are lovingly speaking to one another or something. Just serious. No flexing the muscles, no showing of the hair. "Have they also been hypnotised?" Max spots something out of the ordinary.
"No, I think all of them got hypnotised. All apart from us." Rosie looks at Max worryingly. "He might have done it to you, look at how you are dressed." In a hurry he looked at himself, making himself all neat all of a sudden. It just hit him, he was never neat, why was he worrying about being neat?
"I might be too. I don't know why I am doing this." Rosie looked at Max, struggling with himself. "You're right, we should warn our parents. At least your parent won't be hypnotised."
The School Bell Rang, signalling for classes. The lessons were kind of normal but the rugby club was stopped because it was 'not beneficial for student wellbeing', and instead replaced by a football club (Soccer for you Americans), which was weird.
"We should talk about this to our parents."
"Agreed."
