last night plays in rue's head as if it was a broken record. she shakes as she sips her water from the straw and shakily sets it back down as if there was her own personal earthquake going on inside her body.

"you feeling okay, rue baby?" asks vinnie from his gaming chair, rue shakes herself from her trance and looks at her boy with admiration.

"you've been acting like this since last night.." he trails off not sparing two glances back at her.

"was it insensitive of me to announce yardsale last night?" the ginger overthought, no doubt. "baby," he finally looks back. "you're collaborating with alex and nessa on a song that you guys all wrote together. for cooper, your mom, alex's mother and father. it's not insensitive if it's about the person that was in the midst of it of it all." rue just shrugs at the boys words, she wipes the thoughts from her mind and smiles at him.

"the surprise is tonight!" the redhead smiled widely. "i know, i'm so excited," vinnie smiles at her excitement, laying down on the bed next to her, and pulls her into his lap.

rue-anne sinks into it before looking at him, the smile isn't on his face and he's deep in his thoughts. "vinnie?" she coos.

"rue..? have you been feeling disconnected from me lately?" he finally connects his beautiful eyes to hers.

this is communication, this is what couples do. rue thinks.

"a little, but i just think that we haven't gotten enough time alone together since i got here. i mean there's training but we're never by ourselves. vani is always there, same with josh and the other guys," she speaks slowly. she's never been a relationship where the other wanted to make her or his feelings known.

"that settles it then," he speaks, she urges for the answer. "we're going on a couples getaway, just us. i'll set it up." he smiles.

"but what about training?" rue trails off. "we'll just go to the gym on monday, wednesday, and friday."  he smiles, the blondie is so excited. 

"okay, okay. let's do it. just us?" she confirmed, "yes, baby. just us."

"literally, shut up vincent." avani said as she dragged rue into her room. "vani?" the younger questioned.

"what are you doing with my girlfriend-" vinnie began to say after that. rue just giggled at his discombobulated expression.
"i'm working, don't bug me." avani laughed at rue anne and pushed her onto the bed.

"okay for outfit ideas, hit me!" she bluntly asked. "i'm wearing a black slip dress with my folklore cardigan," rue smiles at her outfit choice, avani already has the dress out and laid on the bed. "i'll wear a white slip dress and my reputation cardigan," she matches our thoughts together and wickedly smiles at rue. (swipe! ^)

rue grabs her doc martins and pulls them on, avani draws some silver stars all over her face, with the hint of midnight blue. "ready?" the brunette looks towards the box dyed redhead.  "yeppers." rue flattens her dress against her thighs.

"hey beautiful girl." vinnie smiled grabbing at rue anne's waist, anthony shooting him a dirty look.

"as for you avani, you look so gorgeous as always." anthony kissed her head, as did vinnie to rue anne, she looks up at him.

"come on, lets go party." she says and runs to the dance floor with the biggest smile on her face.

until later when thomas stepped on top of a table. the lights flashing gave rue a different kind of euphoria as she looked up at him.
