AUTHOR POV :-

Y/n stood by the window of her cozy apartment, gazing out at the weekend bustle of the city below. The soft rays of sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow on her surroundings. It was a rare moment of tranquility in her otherwise hectic life.

As she held her phone to her ear, her friend Sana's voice flowed through the line, bringing both comfort and news that tugged at Y/n's heartstrings.

"I'll come after a week, Y/n," Sana's voice was warm but carried a hint of regret. "My parents needed me here for something important."

Y/n's brows furrowed slightly as she absorbed the information. A mixture of emotions washed over her – understanding, empathy, and a touch of longing. She missed her friend, especially during times like these when they could have spent quality time together.

"Okay, Sana," Y/n replied with a sigh, trying to sound as understanding as possible. "Take your time. Family always comes first."

There was a pause on the other end, and Y/n could almost sense Sana's gratitude for her understanding. They had been friends for a long time, and their bond had weathered many storms.

"Thank you, Y/n," Sana said sincerely. "I promise we'll make up for lost time when I get back. We'll plan something fun for the weekend."

Y/n couldn't help but smile at Sana's optimism. "I'll be looking forward to it. In the meantime, take care of yourself and your family."

Y/n ended her call with Sana, a sense of quiet settled around her once more. The room was bathed in the soft, golden hues of the setting sun. She glanced at her phone, its screen lighting up with the incoming call from Mr. Jeon, her boss.

Her initial smile, born from the warmth of her conversation with Sana, faded as hesitation took its place. Her heart quickened ever so slightly as she answered the call, her voice laced with a touch of uncertainty.

"Hello," she greeted, her tone polite and professional, as it always was when she spoke to him outside of the workplace.

On the other end of the line, she could hear Jungkook's voice, calm and composed. "Hello, Y/n. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Y/n glanced around her apartment, her gaze landing on the untouched work files on her dining table. "Not at all, Mr. Jeon. Is there something you need?"

Jungkook's voice held a tone of reminder as he spoke, causing her to furrow her brows in curiosity. "Well, I think you've forgotten."

"H-huh?" Y/n replied, her voice laced with uncertainty as she tried to decipher his intention.

Jungkook clarified. "I told you, Y/n. I want to meet you. And I believe you agreed on today's evening?" He said his voice was calm and soft. She close her eyes and sign.

Finally, she found her voice. "Yes, Mr. Jeon," she whispered responded, trying to keep her tone steady despite her mixed feelings.

Jungkook's smile was audible in his voice as he acknowledged her agreement. "That's great to hear. I'm looking forward to it, I'll pick you up at your apartment on 6 o'clock "

The call concluded, leaving Y/n in her apartment, standing near the window, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew this upcoming encounter was an uncharted territory, an opportunity to explore a different facet of her relationship with her boss.
