It was a long day at nationals, everyone got through their first heat. Afterwards we got dinner with the rest of the teams at nationals.

Every now and then bax reaches down and grabs my thigh under the table. "Bax stop!" I laugh whisper. He smirks at me and I smile back at him.

Elo speaks up. "Alright guys I was really happy with today, you should all be super proud of yourselves, listen were really close and we could win this thing," I can hear people scoffing around us but its true, this is the first time in years we are close to winning this.

"Anyway you did really good today guys you can go back to your rooms now,"

Bax walks me down to the girls room, I get to the door when he pulls me towards him and he's leaning on the wall. He pulls me towards him as poppy walks past. "EWWW GET A ROOM," she yells.

He smirks at me. "Cmon I wanna show you something," he pulls me away.

"I DIDNT MEAN LITERALLY!" Poppy yells behind us. We keep walking and Bax is holding my hand tight.

I've got my other hand wrapped around his bicep as I shiver. "Bax I'm tired can't we go back?" I whine to him.

"Trust me it's not to far," "Bax we're literally going to the beach, we've been here all day," I say, a disappointed tone in my voice.

The sun is setting so I guess it's a bit different but not really.

He sits down on the sand under a big shady tree. I look at him then sit down next to him.

He wraps his arm around me as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"Shit Lils your so cold," he says taking his hoodie off and handing it to me.

"Thanks," I smile and put the hoodie on.

I lean down to lie on the ground and Bax follows me. He stares over at me giving me butterflies.

He turn over to lay on his side and I do the same. He softly places a hand around my waist and pulls me towards him.

I look into his eyes as he slowly pulls me in for a kiss.

Suddenly we stop as a voice stands over us.

It's summer. "What the fuck do you think your doing Bax, after everything that went on between us?"

"Summer that the fu," I get cut off. "Shut up summer don't you dare bring that up," he yells at her.

I look down at him with visible pain in my eyes, "wait something actually did happen?"

"Yes but-," he starts but I hold my hand up to stop him.

I get up and turn to him. "Talk to me when your ready to be with one girl," I walk away hitting summers shoulder on the way past.

I don't even know what to think at this point, how many times is he gonna do this, how many times is he gonna smack me in the face with my own heart.

Who am I kidding he probably doesn't even like me. Someone who loves you doesn't do this.
