If he had been with me

Christopher's POV:-

I was lying on my bed, half awake and half asleep. Last night I stayed up all night to study the case.

I heard the door of my room opening slowly. I was able to hear footsteps approaching me near my bed.

"Good morning Chris, wake up and get ready. We will be leaving soon." my mom woke me up and walked out to check the packing and boxes.

"Ok, Mom," I groaned and ran straight to the bathroom to freshen up.

I walked into the bathroom brushed my teeth and turned on the shower.

After doing the shower I walked out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around my waist. I came out and saw my best friend Ryan sitting at the edge of my bed.

"Oh my God!! Save me. These muscles...They are gonna be the death of me." he squealed in a girly voice.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him straight to the point.

"Well, hello to you too. I am here because I am your best friend and want to help you pack up," he said smiling sheepishly.

"Okay, but the packing is done. So you can leave now." I told him off.

"Ouch! Why so rude? Don't forget I am the one who found you a new apartment and we will be in the same building but different wing. And I will guide you there. Also, we are working on a case together so I will visit you often." he smirks. That idiot has a point.

"Fine. Just stop annoying me." I warned him and started getting dressed. I put on my black hoodie and blue jeans.

"Have you told them yet?" he whispered.

"No, not yet. Let's not tell them yet. they will worry about it a lot. Thankfully my dad had to check on another branch of the company. I suggested your area, it will be easy for me to work on the case and my dad can do his work too. And no one would doubt it." I explained.

"So My Best Friend, Christopher Salvatore, the famous young Lawyer, who achieved his degree at the age of 21, never loses a case and a perfect son is going to lie to his parents?" he asked just to annoy me.

"I am not lying to them. I am just hiding the truth. I don't want them to worry that's it. This case is serious and can be dangerous too. So let's not tell them for now." I answered testing my patience.

"Ok, ok. But what's your middle name? You never told anyone." He asked and in return, I just glared at him.

"Okay then let's go." he brushed it off and we both got into my car and we drove off.

I am Christopher Beau Salvatore. 21 years old. A young Lawyer who hasn't lost a single case since I started my career.  I completed my law degree in abroad. I just got here one year ago.

And about that, I got a new case and that's why I have to leave this place for now.

When I became a lawyer and got my degree, a lot of people said it was luck. But only I know the hard work and struggles I faced to achieve the degree. It wasn't easy at all. If I was lucky for something then it was my parents. My parents always support me and my decisions. They are the best parents I could ever wish for.
