It was currently 11 p.m. Tanjiro was typing away on his laptop, finishing up an essay that was due tomorrow. He was sitting at his desk, in his dimly lit room.

However, Tanjiro's mind was somewhere else.

His mind was occupied by one thought. Several feelings, that were brewing up in his soul, that was tingling his heart.

Tanjiro who couldn't handle his thoughts & feelings anymore, opened a new tab, searching up 'How to know if you have a crush on someone'.

He pressed enter, & it almost immediately showed a whole section with 8 reasons on how to know if you have a crush on someone.

All of the 8 reasons were:

1. You think about them constantly. ...

2. You dress well when they are around. ...

3. You plan the conversations in your head. ...

4. You get nervous when you're around them. ...

5. You want to be around them. ...

6. You see them everywhere. ...

7. You follow them online. ...

8. You consider their opinion.

Tanjiro's eyes widened, all 8 were happening to him for the past 2 months.

He scrolled down a little to the 'People also ask' section.

Seeing the first question being "What do crushes feel like?", he clicked on that, the answer being "These chemicals may cause one to be giddy, euphoric, and even to experience suppressed hunger and sleep cues. You may recall a time when someone made your heart thud erratically in your chest, heat rise in your body making you blush, and the sensation of being tongue-tied or not able to form coherent thoughts."

Tanjiro bit the inside of his cheek, knowing fully well that this was how he was feeling & acting towards his best friend of 3 years Giyuu Tomioka.

He closed the tab, & continued to work on his essay while trying to brush his thoughts of what he had found out away.

||3 Years Later||

It has been a full 3 years.

Tanjiro's feelings towards Giyuu have not changed nor gone away, rather they were growing with each passing day.

He was 16 when he first found out & realized that he had feelings towards Giyuu, now he's 18 turning 19 & they still haven't faded even a slight amount.

Tanjiro had recently searched & found out that he does not have a crush rather he is in love.

He found out that having a crush involves short-term feelings while being in love with someone involves long-term feelings.

Tanjiro having feelings towards Giyuu for a full 3 years means that he is obviously in love with him & that this isn't a crush anymore.

Tanjiro was in bed right now tossing & turning in his bed under his blanket.

His mind slowly started wandering back to yesterday, when he was over at Giyuu's place since it was the weekend.

He remembered Giyuu's appearance.

His silky medium-length black hair.

His milky white & flawless skin.

His well-formed jawline.
