I stared at the monitors in front of me.
In a dimly lit room, I sat there and watched everything unfold.
Sayaka Maizono was murdered.
Murdered in cold blood.
I couldn't scream. I opened my mouth only to be met by silence. I was in such a state of shock that I couldn't even breathe.
Breathe, Y/n. Breathe.
"Upupupupu!" The familiar laugh of my captor came from behind me.
I slowly turned around and saw Junko holding a Monokuma plushie.
"See, Senpai? Wasn't that wonderful?" She beamed.
I couldn't respond, I was frozen.
Sayaka didn't deserve that.
"Y-You're a monster!" I managed to let out as I saw Makoto discover the scene of the crime from the monitors. The game had begun.
"A monster, eh?" I could tell she was amused.
"Oh, Senpai..." She trailed off, "The only monster here is you! You let your classmates die while you feigned ignorance!" She laughed.
"You're the monster!"
"I... I'm the monster...?"
"Yes! You let your classmates fall into despair! You're horrible!" She mocked.
I was shaking, I couldn't comprehend anything.
Die...?
T-They're dead?!
Chaiki...
Mitarai...
"Nagito..." I whispered.
"Hmm? What was that?" Junko leaned in.
Suddenly, the scene before me warped.
The dimly lit walls of the control room were replaced by the walls of a... helicopter?
I sat beside men who wore suits along with a few familiar faces.
"Byakuya..." I muttered.
"What is it? You never call me by my name," He questioned.
"Oh! N-Nothing... Anyways, could you repeat what you said?" I brushed it off.
"Tsk, you never learn to listen," He scoffed, "As I was saying, the person that we're going to retrieve will be Komaru Naegi, Makoto's younger sister."
"She resides in X Apartments along with the other relatives of Class 78," He explained."I see... Thank you, Ku-chan," I let out a weak smile.
As if on cue, the scene warped once again. I was in a classroom, gathered with my classmates for a class photo.
Mahiru was the one setting up the camera as she pressed start.
I heard the timer beep as the photographer ran to her place beside me.
"Say cheese, everybody!" She grinned.
"Cheeeeseeee," We put on our best smiles as the camera's light flashed.
The sounds of our photo being printed erupted from the camera as Mahira took the piece of paper and showed everybody.
"Look!" Sounds of approval came from my classmates.
"Miss Sonia looks as beautiful as ever!" Kazuichi complimented.
"I look so short there!" Hiyoko whined.
"Hahahaha, Nekomaru blinked!" Akane pointed at the photo.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The trainer let out dramatically.
"Hmph, I have no need for such materialistic things," Gundham scoffed.
"It looks beautiful!" Chiaki smiled.
"Y/n looks cute there!" I felt myself blush from the compliment.
"T-T-Thank you, Nagito... You look c-cute there as well..." I stammered.
***
I woke up with Monomi hovering above me.
"Y/n! Oh thank God you woke up! I was so worried," The bunny cried out as I sat up from the floor.
My headache was gone.
I turned to look at Monomi as she wiped her tears.
"Monomi, I...." I hesitated.
"I remember everything."
