Y/n

Sidney, sitting in the shade of a gazebo, said, "Things were going fine until now. But uh, theatre is going great. I got my first starring role and we open in two days." She smiled.

"That is great! What about you Y/n?" Dewey asked, looking at me now.

"Yeah, uh, I'm taking film class, and art class as well," I said, putting my hands into my pockets nervously.

Sidney sighed and leaned against the table, "Dewey, why would you come here?"

"I was just worried. Look, Sid, Y/n, if some freaked-out psycho is trying to follow in... their footsteps, you probably already know him, or her, or them. They're probably already in your life." Dewey said, glancing at me from the corner of his eye.

"You don't think we know that Dewey? What are we supposed to do, crawl under a rock?" Sid questioned, glancing at me as well. "Can you guys stop acting as if I'll snap? I've been fine, I got over it, I don't need you watching over me like I'm some child!" I shouted, standing up. I shook my head and walked away.

"Y/n!" I could hear Dewey shouting, but I ignored him and kept walking.

From back at the gazebo, Sidney was still with Dewey.

"Dewey, let it go. He's over us..." Sidney spoke, walking her brother away.

"Alright." He frowned, turning to sit back down.

Third person

"Hey, are you alright? Who was that guy? Where's Y/n?" Derek asked several questions at once.

"An old friend, Y/n hates me," Sidney said, looking at the ground.

"Deputy Dewey, Woodsboro's finest. What's he doing here?" Randy walked over, confused.

"He's worried. Our surrogate big brother, have you seen Y/n?" Sidney asked.

"Wow, Nothing like a funeral bringing the family together. I'm gonna go say hi, and yeah, he's back at his dorm." Randy said, walking away.

Mickey, who was still standing with Derek startled talked, "Chief Hartley said the girl was stabbed seven..."

"Drop it!" Derek yelled at him, making Mickey flinch back, smirking.

Gale walked over, a glint in her eyes, "Hello Sidney."

Sidney frowned slightly, "Hi...Gale." She said.

"Well, I was hoping I could get a few words from you and your brother..." Gale started, looking around, but Y/n was nowhere to be seen.

Cotton suddenly showed up in a suit.

"Hello, Sidney," Cotton greeted her, a nervous yet hopeful smile on his face.

Sidney took a deep breath, still overwhelmed by the unexpected reunion. "Cotton..."

Gale, ever the determined reporter, saw an opportunity in the making. She turned to Joel, her cameraman, and said, "Here we are at Windsor College, where Sidney Prescott has just been reunited with Cotton Weary for the first time since she and her brother wrongfully accused him of murdering their mother."

Sidney felt her unease growing as the spotlight shifted toward her and Cotton. Gale's presence only intensified the swirling emotions within her.

Cotton cleared his throat and spoke, "Sidney, I'd just like to say that I forgive and forget, and like you, I'd like to move on with my life."

These words stirred a whirlwind of emotions in Sidney. Memories of the past, pain, and betrayal resurfaced, and it all became too much to bear. Her anger flared, and in a moment of intense frustration, she raised her fist, ready to strike out.
