Rory stood with Amelia and Richard looking at the crowd of reporters. "Look at this turnout." Amelia mumbled to the other two surgeons who nodded slowly.

"I know.Hero doctors save lives on a plane? It's a great story and great publicity." Richard says to them.

"Catherine agrees." Rory mumbled while Richard looked at her before Amelia added to the conversation.

"She's over there.Did you see?" She said exchanging a look with Rory who smiled at her.

"Yep." He mumbled trying to end the conversation before Rory looked at her mother in law.

"She misses you. Your both just too stubborn to admit it." Rory said causing Richard to look at her slightly offended while she shrugged her shoulders. "I mean what I said." She resorted before Amelia tried not to laugh at the awkward exchange.

They turned their attention to Bailey before watching the press conference. Nathan and Meredith discussed what happened on the plane.

"Veronica, it looks as though your tumour has metastasized to your spine.It's starting to compress your spinal cord." Rory informed Alex's patient.

"The cancer's spreading?" Veronica questions looming between the twins.

"Well, we knew this could happen,but this does accelerate things." Alex told her while the friends looked at them.

"What things?" Jeremy asks them before Alex looks at his sister.

"Okay, come on. Just give it to me straight." Veronica says with desperation watching the two surgeons.

"I would give you two,maybe three more months." Rory says looking at the expectant mother.

"Two? It was supposed to be seven or eight.
That's what they said.That's...We've been holding onto that." Jeremy says to them while Veronica studies their faces.

"There's more." Veronica says looking at them.

"Yes.We also need to keep your baby safe.And given how much the cancer has spread and how difficult the spinal mets would make a term delivery,I want to deliver your baby today." Arizona says looking at Veronica and Jeremy.

"No! No.It's... it's too soon.He's still too little." Veronica tries to reason with the fetal surgeon.

"You're at 34 weeks.I've delivered way smaller babies than this.Yours should be just fine.
And the safest option is a c-section." Alex says looking at Veronica before Rory looks up.

"And I'll be there to handle any spinal-cord issues." Rory reassures her while she holds an expression of fear watching the three surgeons.

"If they deliver today...Then that's two months
with the baby.That's you and me...And the little boy." Jeremy tries to provide Veronica with some comfort.

"But we deliver today.Okay.All right.Let's cheer up, everybody.We're having a baby." Veronica says while the surgeons hold weak smiles feeling for the family.

"You should feel a cold sensation right now.It might burn a little, but only for a moment.This is gonna numb you for the surgery." Rory says injecting her in preparation for the c-section.

"You'll be awake during surgery with the drape up.Once I begin, you'll feel a little bit of pressure,
and it might be a little uncomfortable.But it... it won't hurt.I promise." Arizona talks Veronica through the surgery.

"Does the cancer make it harder to deliver?" Veronica questions looking at Arizona who offers her a warm smile.

"Your body is already working overtime as it is,
so the surgery is an added stress,but if there's
any complications, then we will take care of it.
That's what we do." Arizona says to her before helping her get comfortable.
