Taking for Granted

A long 3 minutes, that felt more like an hour. The boys couldn't agree on where to go for dinner.

Andre wanted to go out to a fancy but casual restaurant, but Tom says they take '5ever' to cook the meals.

Michael still wanted to stay home & have a home cooked meal, but nobody would cook for him.

Tom on the other hand, just wants Wendy's or McDonald's. Which nobody commented on his suggestion.

"Lets just make a pizza?" Michael suggest.

"Not, if Andre helps." Tom chipped in.

Michael got up from the couch and walked to the fridge.

"There's nothing in here but ketchup!" Michael shouts like no one hears him.

"Dude, we can here you." Andre responded.

"There's a new episode of breaking bad!" Tom stated excited.

Michael came back in a flash and jumped on the couch.

"So what are we going to do for food?" Andre said sounding like we're out in the wilderness.

"How about you and Easton and go out for groceries, while we watch this episode." Tom propose.

I couldn't believe Tom. I'm here less than thirty minutes and he's already making me go get food with someone I don't know.

"Sounds alright with me." Andre asserted with no problem.

Andre and I left the apartment, walking to the parking lot Andre's car looks brand new and very expensive.

While he drove in silence, The car seats felt comfy "I'm too hungry to wait another hour to eat, do you want to stop at Denny's?" Andre asked.

"Sure." I slowly say nervous.

Andre turned into Denny's then parked his car. As we're walking to the door he holds it open for me. "Thanks" I say as we enter.

The place is pretty dead for a big restaurant. There were two people sitting alone in different tables, eating their meal and reading the paper. Three families with kids colouring or teenagers on their phones, & one couple.

The waitress comes by and escorts us to a booth by the wall at the end of restaurant.

Andre and I both order waters.

"So what are you going to have?" Andre asks looking at the menu.

I stay silent for a brief second embarrassed by telling him what I would like.

"Umm, I want to order the dinosaurs chicken nuggets off the kids menu." I reply back uneasy.

Andre grins, "That sounds good"

The waitress came back and looked at us if we were crazy when we asked to order the nuggets, but he didn't question anything.

When he left I burst out a laugh. The waitress glances back then turns away. "What is it?" Andre canvass. "Did you see the look he give us?" I laughed

Andre's smile is beautiful and bright, and eyes just melt when I look into them.

"Tell me about yourself." Andre spoken with interest with that lovely smile.

"I'm turning twenty one in December." I put out.

"I've turned twenty one in February." Andre declared "I'm ten months older then you." he smiled.

That smile just looks so flawless, it makes me feel weird inside.

"Do you like the caps?" Andre quizzed
