"I absolutely hate them!" I say sarcastically.

Andre plays along and gasps. "I don't suppose you're a Rangers fan are you?"

"Biggest one there is." I joke

The conversation grew quite and I decided to break the silence, "Tell me about yourself." I say back.

"Well, I'm from Sweden." Andre devoted patriotically.

"I'm from Toronto." I try to say proud.

"Ha! Leafs are sucking." Gab Andre.

"I hope they get McDavid." I disclose.

"I played with him." Andre added.

"Back in Erie right?" I question then took a sip of water.

"Yup, sure knows how to make me look good out there." Andre jokes.

The waitress came back with our nuggets & gravy.

"There's probably more about you then being almost twenty one and living in Toronto." Andre said dipping the nugget in the gravy.

"What do you want to know?" I suggest.

"Everything." Andre smiled.

It's not like I'm going to tell him my life story, but I'll tell him what sounds interesting.

"I have a little brother, and then there's Tom. My moms an author and my dads a doctor." I tell him.

"My mom and dad are divorced and I have two younger sisters. Ones sixteen and the others eight, we both live with our mom who is a nurse." Andre spoke as if nothing was wrong.

I grab the T-Rex and pretend it's walking to the gravy and eat it. Andre watched what I was doing and laughed. "Silly you." he says like we've known each other for a ever.

When we got done our meal, the waitress came back with our bill. I pulled out my purse and before I can pay Andre refused to let me.

Andre held the door open for me, "thaanks." I say more comfortable around him.

Walking to Andre's car he pulls out his car keys, "Can I drive?" I joke.

"Do you want you too?" Andre smiled.

I feel hesitant to accept the offer but it was tempting.

"I was only joking." I confess, about to open the passenger door as he unlocks his car.

"Just do it." Andre says coming to the passenger side.

I make Andre look like giant, with our height difference. He's six foot and i'm five foot four.

"Just do it." I mocked getting into the driver side. "Sounds like you're doing a Nike Commercial." I made fun of Andre starting his car.

Good thing Andre was parked forward so I didn't have to back up.

I rarely drive so I'm very cautious.

"Do you have your license?" Andre's voice shook.

"Yes, why do you ask?" I question back, keeping my eyes on the road.

"You're a scary drive." Andre said honest.

"Where do you want to go for groceries?" I ask waiting for the red light to go green.

"I don't know, I usually don't do that kind of stuff." Andre said on his phone.

"Then what do you guys do for food?" I ask with a tone of annoyance.

"Willy and Latts do that stuff." Andre proclaimed.

I sighed, and continue driving while Andre's playing mine craft.

I thought a decent place for groceries would be Walmart.

5 minutes later...

"My phone died!" Andre says grumpy, "Where are we?"

"I don't know, I think I messed a turn."

"Is finding Walmart really that hard?" Andre asked, more concern, then laughs.

"This is my first time in DC okay?" I say still driving on the freeway.

"We're not even in Washington anymore!" Andre made clear.

"I missed the friggin turn okay? Now somehow we're on this road and Washington's just right there!" I pointed out.

I turned the car around, completely lost, driving back to Washington. I'm really bad with directions as you can see.

Black steam starts to rise from the hood.

"Pull over!" Andre demand and I obeyed.

I put on the hazard lights and got out of the car.

"What's wrong with it?" I ask.

"I don't know, the engine?" Andre said confused as I am.

"It's your car, shouldn't you know?" I say smart.

"Turn it off then start it again, wait no, let me do it." Andre walked to car and turned it off.

I sat down on the passenger side, glancing at a miserable Andre.

"How the hell do you get lost going to Walmart?" Andre said with his head on the steering wheel.

"I've never been here before okay?" I repeat pulling the car seat back.

"I have a game tomorrow!" Andre shouted.

"Not my prob." I say back.

Andre starts his car and it starts to stall. He shakes his in frustration, "Call Tom, tell him to pick us up."

I opened my purse and my phone wasn't there. "Ughhhh." I chittered.

"What now?" Andre asks with annoyance and frustration.

"I think I left my phone back at your apartment." I noted.

Andre shakes his head walking out the car. I follow behind him, "What are you doing?" I ask with a laugh.

Andre turns back while a car is passing by "I'm trying to get a ride back." Andre sticks up his thumb on the side of road and the vehicle keeps driving.

I run up beside him and laugh, Andre smiles "What's so funny?"

"Nobody's going to pick us up you know." I say as we walk.

We reached a sign that says "Washington 8 miles"

"This is going to be a long walk." Andre added more happy then before.
