TWO POWERS (Todoroki Shoto x Reader)

Chapter 10: USJ

"Todoroki," you quickly want to say before getting off the bus, "remember that I'm on your side."

He replies with an expressionless nod, leaving you to wonder what to make of it. Is he not happy about it?

You hop off the bus and let the fresh air and light clear your mind. You are met by the Space Hero: Thirteen. There seem to be some fans in your class, especially Uraraka. But per invite you move inside the huge round building without much of a fuss. Once again you form lines and end up just behind Todoroki.

Inside you see something similar to a movie set: a shipwreck, the aftermath of a landslide, burning houses, a windstorm. Thirteen explains that it is a training ground that she created for training for different types of accidents and disasters – the Unforeseen Simulation Joint.

Aizawa seems about ready to begin and asks where All Might is to which Thirteen quietly replies without you hearing. But you realize that All Might must have reached his daily limit, something that had been happening since the accident and is now even worse because he gave you his power.

But before Aizawa can begin, Thirteen wants to say some things. Or a dozen. "Please do not forget that there are many quirks that can kill with one wrong step. With Aizawa's physical fitness test, you found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers, and with All Might's person-to-person combat training, I think you experienced the danger of using these powers against others. This class is a fresh start. You shall learn to use your Quirk's to save people's lives. You do not have powers so you can harm others. I hope you leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others. That's all. Thank you for listening!" She finishes with an exaggerated bow as if she had just finished a performance.

It was a great speech so you join others in the applause, some are even bravo-ing. Out of curiosity you peek your head out to the side to see Todoroki's reaction but you don't notice any special reaction.

"All right then, first—"

Aizawa's sentence is cut off by the lights dimming and the fountain in the middle acting up. You quickly scan your classmates' reactions to see if you're the only one who thinks that this was not planned.

After a few moments of silence a purple portal appears in front of the fountain, revealing many odd-looking figures a few seconds later.

"Gather together and don't move. Thirteen, protect the students," Aizawa sternly instructs.

"Is this like the entrance exam where the lesson's already started?" Kaminari asks.

"No," Aizawa says as he is fixing his goggles. "These are villains." It also quickly became apparent that your phones had no signal, nor was the security system working.

"An isolated area from the main campus during a time when a class is supposed to be here," Todoroki comments. "They might be fools, but they're not stupid. This surprise attack was carefully planned with some sort of goal in mind."

"Thirteen, start the evacuation." Aizawa says and then jumps into battle. All the students turn on their heels and break into a sprint towards the exit. But alas, you are stopped by a purple, void-like villain's sudden appearance, the same one you saw earlier.

"I won't let you. Nice to meet you. We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us, but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes, U.A High School, in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath."

No one says a word, standing there in front of the villain, but you bet you're all panicking. This League of Villains wants to kill All Might, your mentor. You absolutely can't let them. There's so much he needs to teach you. You know nothing about his past, nor is there anyone else alive who could tell you. What's more, if the villains knew about the nature of One For All and you, you'd be dead already.
