"how was the meeting in new york?" maeve all of a sudden gets too excited before fixing her position to tell her story. "it was the best experience i've ever had." i nod, "so, you know how my boss aka mr. nice guy likes treating me to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on what time we land."

i look to shift my eyes to mateo, who listens closely, his eyebrows furrowed. i smell a hint of jealousy from mr. perez. "yeah, what did mr. nice guy, do?" she squeals, hovering her hand over her lips. "he brought me to several restaurants where we ate a different meal."

"different meal, as in?" mateo asks. i can see him clench his fists, but of course, maeve doesn't pay attention to such. "so since we landed in the morning, he took me to one restaurant to get breakfast, then brought me to another restaurant to get a snack and so on."

"wow, you must have had a lot of fun." she nods happily. sharky walks towards me, greeting mateo and maeve before sitting next to me. he unconsciously holds my hand, playing with it. i don't do anything since i enjoy his doings.

"how is the content going, sharks?" maeve asks, clearing the silence. mateo has left to get a drink, i know he's probably mad about mae fanning over another guy who isn't him. "it's going surprisingly good. i've also started featuring in indie's vlogs, too." she nods.

"that must've been fun. i missed on a lot." sharky and i nod in unison. "maybe you should join on the fun, sometime." sharky offers. a glass gets clinked from afar, everyone gathering around. "can everyone gather around, please?" jude's voice is heard.

jude montonya is lynn's husband and soulmate. they met during their first year as medical students and have been close ever since. "i would love for our familia to please stand with us." sharky, let's go of me as i go stand next to lynn.

mama couldn't make it because she had nurse duties calling for her, but she did pass her gift to lynn, and she was planning for a family dinner this weekend. mateo holds my hand as i lean towards him.

next to jude is his mom and his little sister, aliyah and older brother, mikhail. "today is a bright day where we celebrate the welcoming of a new human being in the montonya and perez families." jude says.

"i've always seen this day coming. a day where my wife would tell me she's pregnant and a day where we would celebrate our baby." everyone 'awws' at that part. "having a busy life actually made me think i wouldn't have time to settle down and start having kids, but we did. so i would like to thank you."

jude raises his glass, and so does everyone. "i would like to thank all of you for being able to come to this special event for our baby. this is a blessing to us from you. to our baby." everyone clinks their glasses in the air before taking a sip.

"there is still a few minutes before we start with the gender reveal, so enjoy." i hug lynn before moving back to sharky. we walk inside to get some snacks and a drink. "are you excited for the gender reveal?" i nod, munching on some empinadas.
