Surrounded.
The bed surrounds me as I scream
A silent scream that makes no soundA sound that makes no effect
An effect that reaches no person
A person that never knows
Knowledge that never spreads
Because I cannot get up.
I cannot get up
And I will not get up
And I will not breathe
And I will not turn my head
And I will not speak
And I will not move
I cannot eat
And I cannot drinkAnd I cannot feel
And I cannot think
Soft walls surround me
Though I try to reach
I will not get there
And I will not get through
And I will not break the walls
And I will not rip them open
And no one will know
No one will know that I am here
And that I am sick
And that I cannot function
And that I will not last
And this may be my last.
