Serenity sighed as she fetched her adopted daughter, Makoto. Ranpo was busy, and she knew that he would get lost without someone helping him. She saw her child talking to two men. The child was excited, and Serenity set her hands on the child's shoulders. "Mako, what are you doing?" Serenity hummed. The child jumped, and she let out the biggest smile when she looked up.
"Momma! Where's Daddy?"
"Daddy's out on a case." Serenity hummed as she threw the kids backpack over her shoulder.
"Mommy, this is the blind man I was telling you about!"
"Makoto!" Serenity pulled on her ear. "You don't go saying blind man. You call them by their name!"
"It's fine. She's a child." The man spoke. Serenity looked up, and she saw the man who had white hair that faded into red at the tips. The young man with wild brown hair strays in numerous directions, with bangs falling in front of his face. He also has two thin pieces of hair that are longer than the others in the back. His eyes were chestnut, and Serenity sighed as she saw the standard Hunting Dogs uniform they were wearing.
"And why would the Hunting Dogs want my daughter?" She was prepared for a fight, and she watched the brown haired man place his hand on his sword.
"Now, now, Tetchō, let's not start a fight. After all, Mako here told us how strong her adopted mother really was. Especially since she took two-thirds of the Port Mafia." The man hummed. "Saigiku Jōno at your service, Lady Fujakante." The man bowed. "I apologize for our sudden approach to your daughter. We know how protective you are over her. Especially around males you don't know."
"I'm well aware. Why are you here?" Serenity crossed her arms, pulling Makoto behind her.
"We're here to join the Armed Detective Agency." The other man said.
"Why exactly?"
"Because the Hunting Dogs have been disbanded for now. We were recommended to the Armed Detective Agency." Jōno spoke.
"Alright. I'll take you to see Fuku." Serenity hummed.
"Momma! I want a piggyback ride!"
"Ask one of them. My body still hurts from when you jumped on me this morning." Serenity yelped as the other man picked her up. "What are you doing?"
"Mister Jōno, will you give me a piggyback ride?" The child giggled as the man complied.
"Don't choke him."
"I know, Momma!" Serenity sighed from where she was sitting in the other guy's arms. He was cute, but Serenity wasn't so sure that Ranpo would be thrilled about it. "You never introduced yourself."
"Tetchō Suehiro. But you can call me Tetchō."
"Alright, Tetchō." Serenity purred out. The dragon didn't really mean to purr it out. It just came out the way it did. Jōno groaned as he heard Tetchō's heartbeat speed up. Serenity let out a smirk as she felt the pulse against her body. They went to the detective agency, and Tetchō set Serenity down. She ran and climbed into Ranpo's lap. She kissed him and then whispered something in his ear. The detective hummed as he looked at the two Hunting Dogs and nodded. She climbed off his lap and grabbed one of the snacks from his stash. Makoto ran to her father and climbed in his lap.
"Daddy! I had lots of fun today!" The child giggled, and he laughed, and Ranpo spun around the chair with her.
"What about the surgery that you guys get?" Serenity asked.
"We'll still be getting it." Jōno hummed as he sat down. "There was anonymous intel that our captain was planning for world terrorism."
"We haven't seen much of Fyodor." Dazai hummed, causing Serenity to choke on her food. She gagged and threw up in the trash can.
"He's no longer a threat." Serenity breathed heavily.
"What did you do?" Ranpo hissed out.
"He ended up in the Nightmare Realm. Suggesting the way Shade found him, I'd say he ended up in the Xenomorph habitat."
"How would you know that?" Kunikida asked.
"Xeno used his second mouth to kill him. Then, he proceeded to use his tail to slash him open and eat him. It was quicker than what Catnap does." Serenity drank the water, and she hummed softly.
"Oh, so he's dead dead." Ranpo muttered.
"Yeah, I would say so." Serenity shuddered. "Suggesting there wasn't much of anything inside him when I found him to confirm who he was."
"Serenity, will you take Tetchō and Jōno home until we get them settled in?" Fukuzawa asked.
"Sure. I'm sure Mako will enjoy having her friend play with her."
"Yay! We can have a sleepover!" The child giggled from where she was sitting. The man sighed, and Serenity stretched and winced.
"Does your back still hurt?" Tetchō asked her.
"Yes. But I'll handle it for now." Serenity hummed. She was due a back massage from Ranpo's nimble fingers anyway. She giggled maniacally for a second and fixed her composure.
"What was that about?"
"My ex was just murdered." Serenity hummed. Ranpo started to laugh, and he shook his head.
"Ah, karma is a bitch." He wiped the tears away. "I'd say he'd deserve it, suggesting the mess I found you in." The older detective frowned when he remembered the mess that Serenity was when he found her. He shook the thoughts away as Mako climbed off his lap. She went running for her mother and jumped. Serenity shoved her chair back , causing the child to land on the floor.
"That's why we don't jump on people." Serenity hummed as the child stood up.
"Again!" She giggled maniacally, Ranpo sighed, and Serenity laughed in shock. "Momma, can I get thrown off a building again!?"
"No."
"But the dragon threw you off a cliff."
"That's because Daemon told me that I was going to learn to fly one way or another." Serenity hummed as she remembered the dragon tossing her ass off the cliff. She laid her head down and fell asleep.

Serenity woke up on Ranpo's back. He was carrying her towards the house as Mako led the way to the house. She walked this way so many times that if Yokohama was safer, she would walk alone from the agency. "She's really excited about that sleepover, isn't she?" Serenity hummed against Ranpo's shoulders.
"Yeah. She's ready to watch Alien: Resurrection." Ranpo hummed as he adjusted his position. "You're getting lighter." He was frowning, and he sighed.
"I have a higher metabolism than most." Serenity hummed. She noticed Jōno and Mako were getting along.
"Momma! Can I have three daddies!?" Serenity choked on her spit.
"Mako!"
"I think that would be a wonderful idea!" Ranpo chuckled, and Serenity sighed.
"I don't mind it." Tetchō hummed, and Jōno nodded.
"Yay! Mommy can have a cuddle party with all three of my daddies!" Serenity buried her face into Ranpo's neck.
"Fine." With that, Mako cheered happily as she dragged Jōno to the house. "That kid's going to be the death of me."
