Vertin pov

'Where am I now? And how do I get out of what I'm in?' I was thinking. The rattle came again, and i decided one thing.

"Is someone out there?" i called to the sound. Who making that noise, anyway?

"I better hurry up and find that uniform before someone spots me..." i hear the voice, and i wrinkled my nose.

'Uniform? What uniform?' I glanced around, but the darkness in the room, or the box, or whatever i was in, made it impossible to see. I had to be somewhere where there were uniforms.

The person on the other side struggled, and i could hear them trying to dig something sharp into stone or some similar material. "Urggh..... This lid weighs a ton!"

I made a face.' A lid? So it's a box of some sort. I'm in a box no...a coffin... wait. How did i end up in a coffin?'

I dug my fingers into the walls of velvet to find a good grip and hoisted myself up. I lifted my knees up just as the voice was saying.

"Try this on for size! Mya-ha!" and i kicked out as blue flames blew the lid off. My foot found a target, felt something soft, and heard a muffled ouch, and i tossed myself out of the box to land with a thud on the floor, surrounded by blue flames for a moment.

'What was that?! Who lit a fire?! Critter?'

The floor was cold and of dark marble tile, and i could feel it through his night clothing. Looking around, i saw coffins of all sizes and felt panic grip his chest. 'What sort of place was this? Why is there so many coffins flying around?' Only to hear a voice from behind him

"Now to grab the goods.."

Looking down she see a weird looking cat with a blue flames in his ears and a pitchfork tail, that's weird

The creature screamed, "What?! You ain't supposed to be awake! Hey you just kicked me didn't you?!"

She stared in shock and then commented. "Why is there a citter?"

"How... How DARE YOU! I am no CRITTER!"

"I am not a CAT! I'm Grim, sorcerer extraordinaire!" the cat shouted at Vertin and start shouting "Gimme your clothes already!."and vertin start running away from the cat or creature.

'What's this place?' Vertin thought, she was still running

"Why you...! Stop right there!" Grim shouted and chased after her.

Vertin arrived in a library as she hide from that critter. "Found you!" The cat yelled she start to run as fast as she could from that. She hid behind a bookshelves

But then as he take a peeked he heard a loud crack of a whip grim reaction was shocked and pain in as he meowed in pain

"Me-YEOW! That hurt! What gives?"

"Consider it tough love." A male voice called out from the shadows and from those shadows Vertin saw a strange man appear.

He was dressed in an extravagant, slightly elegant, but very eccentric looking outfit. A silk black top hat with a royal blue band perched upon his head, with a strange decoration of a mirror with keys and a feather. 'Is he the headmaster?' Vertin thinking.

"Ah, found you at last." He said-breaking of her thoughts, "Are you one of the new students?" She shared a small look of confusion at his words. 'This is a school of some kind...?' She thought to herself

"That won't do." The man continued, not seeming to pick up on vertin confusion, "You mustn't leave the Gate on your own! Not only that, taking your untamed familiars with you to school is against the regulations."
