Cameron was sitting at home alone playing video games once again. He was a tall, had a thick head of brown wavy hair with glasses to go in front of his brown eyes. He was a stubborn teen, like most, but thought of more reason. His flaw was letting anger get in the way of his through process and won't think clearly if he doesn't get his daily fix of call of duty.
Cameron's mom, Alice Ford was out in the small city of Sonora California trying to make money by prostitution. His dad, Ryan Ford, was living a great life without his ex-wife and his, "pathetic son," as he says it. His little sister, Rowan Ford was in her room playing with her dolls. Rowan and Cameron are both sitting in their separate rooms when the phone suddenly rings.
"Ro can you get that," Cameron screams from his room and Rowan, being the youngest of the two, has to do most of what Cameron says. So she gets up at runs to the phone in the kitchen, she picks it up and says, "Hello?" There's no reply for a second and then her mom suddenly stutters the words.
"I'm not coming home tonight," she says with a slurred speech that can barely be understood.
"Why not mommy?" Rowan replies disappointed.
"I've got to go..." She suddenly hangs up. Rowan then walks to Cameron's room and tells him that their mom isn't going to be home.
"That was mommy and she says she's not coming home tonight, again."
"I don't care, go away." Cameron says with a stuck up attitude without even looking away from the screen. Rowan goes to her room and slams the door behind her.
"You could at least try to care about mom for once!" Rowan screams from her room.
Cameron rolls his eyes and decides it's time to go to bed. He walks over to his bed, takes off his glasses and turns off his light. Cameron sits in bed for a while thinking about what homework he had to do and how he'll do it later. He thinks about what he's going to do tomorrow at school. Slowly he falls asleep to how boring his thoughts are.
He wakes up the next morning to the smell of bacon and eggs, he walks into the kitchen to his mom and dad reading the news paper. Then he actually wakes up and gets dressed and ready for school. As he walks into the small kitchen he sees none of what was in his dream but instead he sees a sink full of dishes and an empty fridge, for a split second before he walked into the kitchen he hoped that he would actually see what was in his dream, of course it wasn't actually there.
He walks to his bus stop to see his little sister and her friends. They all silently giggle while looking at him and he shouts,
"What do you want!"
They don't reply, they just turn away and get ready to step on the bus.
Cameron arrives at school and does exactly what he does every other day, he walks to the classroom and does his homework.
In the middle of finishing his math homework several of the jocks walk in and give him a look like he's a piece of shit stuck on the bottom of their shoes. He just continues working on his homework while eavesdropping on their conversation.
"So, did you here that Bradley had to go to the hospital last night?" One of the guys asks the rest of the group.
"No, what happened!" One guy says
"Yeah why did he need to go to the hospital!"
"Apparently he had a horrible nose bleed and an even worse headache." The guy relpies. Cameron pops his head up to listen better.
"His mom said that he's going to be in the hospital for the next two days because after they thought his headache was gone he threw up blood." The guy continues, "I'm really scared for him because I read up on those symptoms last night and they are the symptoms for Hematologic cancer."
