Part Two: New Students New Threats

Start from the beginning

"Wait," Juvia interrupted, her eyes lighting up. "What if Levy altered their class schedules so we all could share some classes with them?"

Levy grinned. "That could work! I can tweak with their schedules to somewhat match ours after homeroom."

Lucy lifted her arm off her face and peeked at Levy. "Didn't the school already issue their schedules?"

She shrugged. "Not an issue, I'll have the system shut down."

Erza smirked. "Now we're talking."

The girls huddled together, discussing their plan till the bell rang.

Who would have thought they'd share homeroom together.

Erza found herself staring at Jellal Fernandes, who sat by the window. His posture relaxed and focused as he waited for his name to be called, his blue hair framed his face as the light highlighted his features, especially the red mark on the right side of his face. Was it a tattoo?

There was something about him that chewed at her. It wasn't his appearance or calm demeanor, but the way he seemed to carry himself, calculating and always a step ahead. Her instincts told her there was more to him.

Beside her was Mira, who was equally on edge. She hadn't stopped glancing between Jellal and Laxus. Laxus sitting two seats behind Jellal. He exuded power and authority. His golden-blonde hair, sharp eyes, and broad build made him stand out. Everything about him screamed confidence and combined with it was arrogance. But out of all that, it was his scar on his right eye that caught hers.

Both caught everyone's attention. Of course, who wouldn't know them?

Mira and Erza did not like the feeling they got.

"You girls ready?" Mira asked as they stood before the door to the student council room. She took a deep breath. Behind this door were the four new students, and at least two at least two of them were people they needed to be cautious around.

"As ready as we'll ever be." Juvia muttered, sighing heavily. Her mind wandered to the sanctuary of the pool. She'd much rather be swimming laps than dealing with this situation.

The door creaked open and the girls stepped inside.

At the center of the table was Laxus Dreyar. A blonde haired boy (more like man) who let out an irritated huff. "A little late don't you think?" His tone was filled with annoyance. There was a scar on his right eye in the shape of a lightning bolt. How did he get that?

Lucy bit her tongue to keep her from snapping back at him. Arrogant bastard.

"Relax Laxus," Jellal said smoothly, not even glancing up from his papers. His blue hair calm, matching the serenity in his voice. "I'm sure they have their reasons." He sat beside Laxus.

Gray and Gajeel stood quiet, they didn't care about their lateness they just wanted to get on with everything. Gray leaned back in his seat, he sat further from the two men, while Gajeel stood in the corner.

Mirajane tilted her head and smiled, "Ah we're sorry about that. We were getting your new schedules-"

"New schedules?" Laxus interrupted, narrowing his eyes. "What happened to our original ones?"

Her smile twitched, but she didn't miss a beat. "If you'd let me finish explaining," She said sweetly, "there was an issue which caused the school system to shut down. Worry not they were able to get it up and running but your schedules couldn't be save and are different." She held the papers up. "We even printed them out for you." She waved them like it was a treat for a dog, feigning her innocence. Will they catch on?
