Eddie was moved. The way she said he was the best thing to ever happen to her, was so heartwarming and reassuring. Unbeknownst to her, he would be making his own declaration at the concert the next day, so he was relieved that she was slightly drunk and unbothered by him not saying something back. He wanted to do it perfectly, so she knew he meant it and that he was not just fooling around with her.
But first he needed to get her to bed safely. She was goofing around, hiding from him. She even tried to get the elevator up without him by sprinting off when he wasn't looking. He had to restrain her by holding her tightly. She leaned into his chest and calmed down on the elevator, but as soon as they got to their floor and he let go, she darted off. She was so much fun, and he truly adored her.
When he finally caught up with her, she was waiting outside their door.
"Why are you standing here?" He asked teasingly, knowing very well that he had her handbag, and her key card was in there.
She rolled her eyes at him, and held out her hand to get the handbag. He held it high up over her head, so she had to jump to reach it.
"Ugh, give it to me!" She laughed and tried to knock it out of his hand.
"Can we at least go inside first?" He smirked and handed her the bag.
She snort-laughed at him, and found the key card, but she couldn't figure out how to unlock the door, so in the end he had to take over.
Once inside she hurried off to the bathroom to pee.
"Don't listen by the door, creepazoid!" She warned before she closed the door.
He laughed at her, and started getting ready to go to bed. She was humming in the bathroom. He recognised it as one of his songs called Love Somebody.
"Can I come in and brush my teeth?" He asked and knocked on the door.
She opened the door, only wearing her underwear and with her toothbrush tucked in her cheek. She smiled at him, and he felt the bashing of a thousand butterflies in his stomach. He joined her by the double sink in the bathroom and brushed his teeth. She was brushing her teeth and humming while looking at him in the mirror.
When she finished brushing her teeth, she washed her face and put her hair up in a high ponytail. She was wearing a lingerie set in a light orange nuance and it fit her perfectly. The colour made her skin look tanned and he couldn't keep his eyes off her. He got so distracted he forgot to brush, so by the time she had washed and dried her face and added moisturizer, he was still standing by the sink with his toothbrush in his mouth. She squeezed in between the sink and him, and started unbuttoning his shirt, while he brushed. He looked at her instead of at the mirror, so she put a finger on his chin and lifted upwards to make him look away.
"You'll never finish brushing your teeth like that, babe." She peeled his shirt off the arm he wasn't using to brush his teeth. Then she made him switch hands, so she could take it off the other arm.
She walked off with his shirt, while he finished off in the bathroom.
When he came into the bedroom, she had put his shirt on a hanger and packed it in his clothes bag. She walked over to him, and put her hands on his belt and undid it. He smiled at her, having a hard time not laughing, as she helped him out of his jeans. She folded them and put them aside as well. Then she crawled into bed and patted his side.
He chuckled and crawled up next to her. He loved that she was so nurturing. It made him think that she would probably be a great mum someday. She fluffed his pillow before he laid down, and then she crawled up close, cuddling him with her head on his chest.
