Nick, Matt and Chris were excited for the upcoming month. Being able to relax and not do anything at all sounded really great right now. They were looking forward to spending more time with friends and going to Boston for christmas and New Years without having to worry about filming videos. It definitely was going to be a fun couple of weeks.
Or not.
Their start of december had been absolutely perfect, just like they had imagined it. They had spent time with Laura and Madi, aswell as some other friends. They also had a lot more time for just the three of them to talk and hang out together, which was definitely needed after the past stressful months. So yes, it had been going well so far.
Until their flight was cancelled, that was when it all went downhill.
They had planned to fly to Boston on the 14th december but then their flight was cancelled last minute due to the weather. It was rescheduled to the 16th but well, then this happened.
16th december
Nick was just throwing his last clothes into his suitcase which he would need for Boston, headphones on, blasting music. He was in a good mood, glad he could finally spend time with his family. Not even the fact that their flight had to be rescheduled could dampen his mood.
Singing along he grabbed another shirt which he wanted to take with him, folded it and put it to his other clothes in his already almost full suitcase. Nick reached for his phone to skip the now playing song and noticed a message from Chris.
Come downstairs
Nick rolled his eyes at the amount of detail and politeness in Chris' request. He stopped his music and jogged down the stairs to see what Chris wanted from him. Nick looked around their living room for a second, which was completely empty, before continuing his way to Chris' room, the logical other option.
Nick had walked in on various scenarios in his life, but Chris laying on the floor, eyes closed, phone on his chest, next to his open but empty suitcase, definitely wasn't what he had expected. "What the fuck Chris?" Nick asked. Chuckling he took his phone out of his back pocket, taking a picture. This was definitely going into their weekly photo dump on instagram.
Chris cracked one eye open for a second before closing it again and groaned dramatically. "Can you pack my suitcase?" Nick shook his head, still amused. "Why the fuck would I? Get up, we're leaving in two hours." He told his younger brother, shaking his head. He was about to turn around again and go back upstairs, leaving Chris to finish meditating or whatever he was doing when Chris whined like a little child. "But Niiiick. I'm tired." He complained, after opening his eyes.
Nick rolled his eyes at Chris' behavior. "You're not five. Get off the floor and pack your shit." He was starting to get impatient, the list of what had to be done before they left still in the back of his head. "Pretty please?" Chris begged again, making puppy dog eyes. Nick sighed and watched his brother for a few seconds, weighing his options.
If he left Chris like that it would definitely take him ages to get his shit together, which they didnt really have time for. He himself was almost finished packing, it would definitely be quicker if he just went with it and got all the thing Chris needed for Boston.
He sighed. "Alright." Nick mumbled and opened Chris' closet, beginning to pack a few clothes. They didnt have to take a lot with them, due to them still having a lot of clothes in Boston, but they always packed enough to be save. Chris still wasnt moving from the floor. That kid.
