"My baby!!" His mother had squealed as soon as he met her at the little eatery. She instantly pulled him in for a hug and squeezed the life out of him. Anyone watching could tell that the two were extremely close. And they were close. She had him when she was extremely young, still a child herself. Jungkooks father wanted nothing to do with him or her after she revealed her pregnancy. Her own parents kicked her out and disowned her as well. She found herself alone, homeless and pregnant at the age of 17. Thankfully Yoongis family had taken her in, which they ended up staying with for four years. In that time she was able to finish school and take online courses for college as she worked two jobs to support them, she didnt want to rely fully on Yoongis parents. Afterwards she got herself a good job and was able to afford an apartment big enough for the two of them.
"Mom" he whined as she pinched at his cheeks.
"No let me do this" she finally pulled away and looked him up and down, a frown settled in her brows. "You're not eating enough. Look at you"
"Mom, stop. I eat enough"
"Hmm. Fine"
He had brought her back to his dorm after eating and talking, she walked into his room and twirled around, checking the way he had set up and decorated. She noticed the pictures that hung on the opposite side, she assumed they belonged to his roommate. "Have you made any friends?" Jungkook knew this was coming. He averted his gaze and instead pulled at his bedding, gathering a pillow in his lap.
"Baby, we talked about this."
"I know. But I don't need friends. I have you and Yoonie and even Joonie hyung. I don't need anybody else."
"Yes you do have us but that's different Jungkook. What about your roommate?"
He didn't answer, he hadn't told his mother who his roommate was, not that it would matter, she wouldn't know his name. He never told her who it was when he was lying in the hospital, even when she was crying and demanding to know, he couldn't tell her. Taehyungs parents held power and he was scared that if she wanted to press charges that they would be the ones hurting in the end.
"He's ok"
"Just ok?" She pressed for more.
"He's nice" never in this world did he think he would be calling Taehyung nice.
The door opening paused their conversation and in walked the person he was talking about along with Jimin.
"Oh we're sorry." Jimin said as the two stopped, looking at Jungkook sitting on his bed with a very beautiful woman. "Didn't know you'd have company Jungkookie. Gotta say your taste is exquisite" Jimin winked at him and cast his mother a flirty smile.
He sat mortified as his mother threw her head back and laughed. "Oh my. Forgive me" she said as she wiped her tears and stood greeting the two boys who had entered. "Although I'm flattered, I'm afraid you have it wrong. I'm Nari, Jungkooks mother"
"Holy shit" jimin let out. "Oh my god. I'm sorry. It's just you look way too young to be a mom to someone his age." He paused a moment before continuing "Is Jungkook's dad in the picture?"
Nari smiled at the boys brazenness "No, he's not."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that"
"Are you a friend of my son?" She looked back at Jungkook raising her eyebrow in question.
"Oh yes. I'm Jimin. Park Jimin" he bowed out of respect then nudged Taehyung who seemed to be in a trance. "This is Taehyung, Jungkook's roommate."
"Oh it's nice to meet you two. Thank you for looking after my baby, I worry for him being here all by himself"
