Love Returned From The Ashes

Mococo pov: "I need to talk to Fuwawa." Nerissa said to me, but I stopped her from walking forward.

"Hold it. I'll talk to my older sister," I said.

Nerissa looked at me and nodded. "Cool." She said it to me, but she wanted to be there anyway.

She walked over with me, and I pulled Fuwawa so she would look at me and say, "Moco-chan?" She questioned

"Are you crying?" I asked

Fuwawa sniffled, and she reached up, pulling me down beside her. "Yeah," she said.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'm just so upset that my little sister is letting someone rub your tummy." She said

"Fuwawa..." I mumbled

"Mococo and I heard you talking about me negatively...." Fuwawa said

I looked at her and gulped. "Fuwawa, it was a misunderstanding!" I said

"Moco-chan I know you want to say something to me, so just say it. I can take it. Please just tell me what I need to know.

"Fuwawa... I love you and respect you, and I really think you are strong, but you have to remember we are both demon-gaurd dogs. Even though we are puppies, we are both equals. I said

"Oh..." she said.

"Please, Fuwawa, don't feel the need to protect me. You aren't the one I want to see get hurt. I want you to prosper. It pains me whenever you are hurt, and you are hurt whenever you have to protect me and won't let me fight!" I said

"Moco-chan I don't want to see you get hurt! I do agree that we are a perfect tag team and that we are two sides of the same coin. We are perfect and should fight together, but still! No one wants to see you get her, especially me. I love you, Moco-chan, and sometimes I feel like you don't appreciate my protection. I risk everything for you, and you complain about it at every twist and turn. Sure, I may not be good at all the things you are, but I don't know why you always have to point that out or act like you should one up me; it frustrates me."Fuwawa said

"Fuwawa!" I yelled

I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her. I felt tears roll down her face.

"You're my older sister. I didn't mean to invalidate you, but I want to just talk. I want to know if you can please let me fight. I don't want what happened last time to happen. Seeing you really hurt and bloody upset me!!" I said as tears flowed from me.

Nerissa looked at us silently. She didn't want to break up this scene, but she found this extremely adorable.

"I'm sorry for touching your little sister!" Nerissa blurted

"Bau Bau... it's all good," Fuwawa said.

I smiled at her and motioned for her to hug both of us. Nerissa did as she was told, wrapped her arms around us, and squeezed us hardly at this moment.

Fuwawa and I jumped away from Nerissa as Mumei-senpai slammed into her roughly "fight start." She snarled

"Sh-shit," Nerissa gagged.

"Oh, hi FuwaMoco!" Mumei-senpai said

"Hey," we both said in unison.

Mumei-senpai was calm yet filled with bloodlust. She was beautiful in every last inch of her refined and well-tempered

"Thank you for the good thoughts!" Mumei-senpai said to me

"You're welcome..." I said

I forgot she can read minds; it's a power she has as the guardian of civilization. As long as you breathe, she probably can and will read your mind.

"Oh, by the way, I apologize for what Omegaα and Friend did a little bit ago and thank you for dealing with it!" She said

"It's no problem; us demon-gaurd dogs must hone our skills!" Fuwawa said

"Now then, Nerissa, get up!!!" Mumei-senpai yelled, suddenly changing her tone and wanting her sister to come at her with everything she has.

"Tsk..." Mumei-senpai sighed

"Hold it-we all want to get stronger, right?" I said

"Yes, we do," Mumei-senpai said.

I decided not to verbally say this next part since Fuwawa has the same idea and Mumei-senpai can read my mind.

My idea is that we should do a two-on-two battle between Fuwawa and me and Nerissa and Mumei-senpai. That way, we will be able to grow exponentially since Fuwawa and I seem to grow much faster as a pair, and Nerissa may need the experience fighting with someone like Mumei-senpai instead of against her. Putting her against someone with a similar skill level will also make things easier.

"Good idea. Fauna heal Nerissa!" Mumei said

"Got it!" Fauna-senpai said

"Wait, Mumei, we don't have time for this!!!" Gura-senpai said to her

"We do the fight in about five minutes; as I said, it will be a quick battle. Kronii and Ame can wait a little while longer, and besides, we need them to be at their peak just in case more threats arise!" Mumei-senpai claimed

"Hey Mumei, can Rosemi and I watch?" Selen asked

"Go right ahead!" She cheerfully said

Mumei and Nerissa got ready and began to whisper something to one another.

"Fuwawa..." I softly said.

"Yes Moco-chan?" She questioned

"Let's show them how real sisters do things." I told her.

"Yes! Let's do it!" She laughed

"Bau Bau!" We shouted in unison.

The two of us ran around the arena. Nerissa barely could keep up, but Mumei-senpai had her eyes locked onto us the whole time. We couldn't escape her even if we tried.

"Moco-chan!" Fuwawa shouted

We both got the same idea and the same signal. We darted forward, trying to slash Mumei-senpai since she is the biggest threat. She dodged us, and then Nerissa tried to hit us with a generic staff swing, but we dodged by backflipping.

Nerissa and Mumei-senpai were impressed by our mobility, and we know they can both read our minds, so the fact that we caught them off guard is impressive. We can actually win this.
