Good

Life is good right now, if not a little weird. You're back on top of your job, aside from your conflict with Nautilux. You have to consider politics when you accept jobs now, which you've never done before. However, there haven't been any more hits on your life, which is good.

Loki visits you at least once a week, and that's been good. You have your space, your life, but also him. You've been going on actual dates, which is crazy to think about, but surprisingly fun. You cooked him dinner in your trailer. How weirdly and beautifully domestic is that for the two of you?

Loki is on your couch when he drops a bombshell on you.

"I want you to visit Asgard."

You almost choke on your drink. "I... is that even possible?" You kinda figured only gods could travel to and from Earth.

"It is," Loki says casually, like it's no problem. "I can come and go at any time, along with a passenger, if I wish."

"Sweet." You wonder what it's like, in another realm. "When would we go?"

"Give me a few days to make preparations."

And so you finish your current jobs quickly, making sure you have some free time in the coming weeks. Loki appears at your trailer one day, choosing to walk up and knock on the door rather than teleport inside, a gesture you appreciate.

"It's time." He announces, and excitement makes your fingertips tingle.

"How do we do this?"

He smirks. "Hold onto me. Tight."

You roll your eyes, but can't help the way your heartbeat quickens as you wrap your arms around him. Loki holds your waist tight in his grasp as he whispers "Hold on." In your ear. You clench your eyes shut as the wind whips around you both, blowing faster until you feel it almost stinging you, blowing your sweater up in a swirl. For a minute, there's no ground under your feet and you cling to Loki until he sets you gently onto solid footing again.

You blink your eyes open, adjusting to the light.

"You can let go, darling." Loki's voice reminds you how tightly you're clinging to him and you let go slowly, taking in your strange surroundings.

You're standing in a grand bedroom with marble floors and bright, golden sunlight streaming in through the massive windows, a bright blue sky visible beyond the glass. It's very similar to your room in Loki's home on earth, but even larger and grander. Sparkling crystals and gold adorn every wall hanging and furniture piece.

"Holy shit, dude."

Loki smirks again. "Welcome to Asgard."

"Is this your room?" The question is answered for you when you turn and see a massive painting of him on the wall, even taller than Loki. "Oh, come on..."

"It is. I needed to bring you here before we venture into the rest of the castle to prepare you."

You squint at him. "Prepare me?"

"Mortals are forbidden from entering Asgard. And although I am currently reigning king, some things simply aren't done. Therefore, with your permission, I will use my magic to disguise you as an Asgardian."

"Will it hurt?"

He shakes his head. "Not at all. You will remain as you are, but my magic will make you appear to be an Asgardian in appearance, garb, and energy so that no one here will know your true nature."

"Can I bring my gun?" you ask, but the look of annoyance he gives you answers that quickly.

"Okay." You say after a moment. "Go for it."
