Gaster: You erased everyone's memories, didn't you?

Gaster's look is cold... and very angry.

You slowly nod

Gaster takes a deep breath, and holds his head in his hands. He looks exhausted.

Gaster: Y/n, you can't just do that. You can't just play god and erase peoples memories. It's not fair, and it's not right. Those people have every right to be mad at you, and to know about this.

Gaster's voice is very cold now.

Gaster: I can't believe it. I tried to help you, Y/n. I really did. But now I don't even know what to do anymore. I... I'm so disappointed.

you slowly starts crying

Gaster immediately softens when he sees you crying, and kneels down in front of you.

Gaster: ...Oh...

He puts both his hands on your shoulders.

Gaster: Oh, Y/n... I... I'm sorry. I...

Gaster goes silent for a moment. He takes a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down.

Gaster: But, you still did something wrong. You erased everyone's memories of what you did. That's a really big deal.

But no one is going to know....

You said softly and quietly

Gaster: Y/n, that's the whole problem! Don't you see? You did a really bad thing. And then you erased everyone's memories of it. You tried to cheat your way out of the consequences for it. You can't just do that.

Gaster sighs, and stands up again. He's still mad, but he's also clearly very concerned.

Gaster: I can't let you get away with this, Y/n. You gotta fix it. You have to put their memories back.

I can't I sort of......... deleted it off the machine

Gaster: You... what? You deleted it?! How?!

Gaster seems shocked. He slowly sits down on a chair.

Gaster: Oh. Oh God... You actually can't bring their memories back again.

...Gaster is silent for a few seconds.

Gaster: ...I had a really bad feeling about you doing this. It's exactly what I was afraid would happen.

Gaster starts to shake his head.

Gaster: ...This can't keep going on, Y/n.

I don't understand what's the big deal I'm getting out of consequences and no one no longer has the trauma and guilt and grieving of when they saw asriel if anything I'm doing everyone a favour 

You said proudly

Gaster: No! You don't understand! Yes, you're getting out of consequences for your mistake. But you didn't do them any favor! If anything, you did a really selfish thing because you couldn't face the fact that you pissed people off.

Gaster sighs, and seems angry, but also a little sad.

Gaster: The Underverse is a place of trauma and pain, Y/n. People suffer for a reason, because that's the only way that they can get stronger and wiser. But you just took that all away.
