Dragon's Promise || Yang Jungwon

Haeun's Pov

"Look at my daughter looking so beautiful" Dad says, making me flustered at his compliment.The  gown is perfectly complimenting my curves and the bottom is a cherry on top making me feel like i have never looked this beautiful my entire life.

"Lets go we are already getting late" He says as we make our way outside the house.I peek at Ryoko and as expected she is just sitting there.I know she doesn't go anywhere without permission and tonight i just want her to stay in the garden while I'm gone.I don't want her to get hurt by those hunters.

We sit inside the carriage dad booked for today.It's funny how the transport is always the same.People in this era book carriages and people in my era book cars.I wave at Ryoko one last time before the man starts the carriage.

The nervousness inside me is still here. It's my first time going to a royal ball. What if someone else asks me for a dance instead of Jungwon? But the bigger question is what if Jungwon doesn't ask me for a dance? I am pretty sure there are more beautiful women than me at the ball.  My heart swell at the thought of it as i shrug my thoughts looking down on my lap fidgeting my finger praying that jungwon will ask me

Stepping outside the carriage eyes fall on the palace which is shining brightly with chandeliers because of the ball.Just how rich these Royals are? Everything is just so perfect and glorious but one thing they can't buy is happiness.It can be seen on their faces.

My heart starts beating with anxiety as we make our way through the crowd.Most of them seem Royal with some men and women wearing glorious expensive royal clothes just like how dad makes.Why are we even invited here? Half of these people's faces are titled with pride but not the normal pride.The pride of power and money…

“Haeun” I jump slightly by the sudden voice.I turn back and a smile appears on my lips seeing Eunji looking beautiful as always wearing a blue gown and a tiara on her head.

“I thought you would not come” she says, scanning me from head to toe. “Oh my God Haeun I'm out of words, you're…you're looking so beautiful” she smiles brightly as i blush at her compliment.

“Let's go” She says, grabbing my hand.My eyes look around everywhere hoping to see Jungwon but he is nowhere.

Suddenly someone appears in front of me and Eunji smiles shyly as he looks at her.He is also wearing royal clothes.His tall appearance makes him look slightly intimidating but his face says otherwise.

“I am Prince Jihoon from Osihana your majesty, please let me have the honor to dance with you” He says bowing deeply forwarding his hand.I look at Eunji excitedly who is a blushing mess right now.I give her a thumbs up before slipping away from their moment.

I sigh heavily feeling alone now.Honestly where is Jungwon.As if he heard my thoughts he suddenly appears in front of me making me jolt in surprise.

“My lady, I was looking for you” He whispers, staring directly in my eyes. “Let me have an honor to dance with you My Lady,you can't say no” He forwards his hand as I look at him slightly nervously.

I put my shivery hands on his nervously and put the second one on his shoulder as he puts his other hand on my waist

“I don't know how to dance” I whisper and it's true I really don't know how to dance.I never tried to learn, especially this ball dance.

“Don't worry just follow my lead” He says caressing my waist making me whine mentally.And with that we slowly start moving matching with the rhyme of others.

“Did I tell you that even the moon has failed to match your beauty today?” He whispers, decreasing the distance between us. “Only today? I smile teasingly as he shakes his head coming closer.

“My apologies,the moon fails everyday trying to compete with your beauty” He whispers glancing at my lips for a short second.Everything seems blurry.It feels like its only me and Jungwon in the room.I look down shyly feeling intimidated by his gaze as he suddenly spin me around making me hit his chest with a slight force afterwards.

My hands automatically clutch his shoulders for support as we stop dancing.I can feel him coming closer,his warm breath hitting my ears.

“Do you wanna go outside with me?” He whispers as I breath heavily.I nod at his request as I back away.

"Then let's go" With one swift motion he grabs my hand tightly gently dragging me outside the palace.

He takes me to the back of the palace and my eyes widen seeing Ryuu and Ryoko there.I look at him in confusion as he just gives me a wink.

"Ryoko is familiar with me so she listens to me, don't worry dragons don't go with strangers.There is a special sense in them which tells if a human being is dangerous for them or not" I absorb the new piece of information and nod my head getting on top of Ryoko and just like that day we are in the air together again.

Both of us fly towards the river giggling and shouting.I have never laughed this much in my life.He makes me feel so happy even though I'm stuck in this era but his presence always comforts me somehow.

"No It's cheating-" I stop mid sentence when I feel my balance out and with a shout I fall from Ryoko.I close my eyes shut ready for the ground or water to hit me  and meet God but that didn't happen,instead i land on a pair of arms.

"Haeun" I hear Jungwon as I finally open my eyes and meet Jungwon's worry ones.I sigh in relief as i thought that was my end.I hug Jungwon tightly as he carefully places me on Ryuu.I look behind Jungwon to see Ryoko flying behind us as i sigh in relief.

"You should be careful,what if I didn't save you? He says, hugging me tightly.I pull away from him as he cups my cheeks scanning my face.He is so close to me that i can feel his loud heartbeat as our chests are almost touching.

"But you saved me,My Prince" He looks into my eyes and for a moment I get lost in them just like that day.He stares back at me with the same intensity as he closes the distance between us making our lips almost touch each other.

I see his Adam apple go up and down as he stare at my lips and then back in my eyes asking for permission.I nod at him slowly and without a second thought he crashes his lips on mine giving me electric shock of euphoric feeling in every inch of my body.He is driving me crazy.Evert bit of him intoxicates me.

Our lips move against each other softly.The kiss is gentle,full of innocence and love.As if our lips are made for each other.He places his one hand on my cheek and other on my waist giving me support as he deepen the kiss holding me tightly.Kissing in the air on top of a dragon is definitely not something i had thought of.

He gently broke the kiss breathing heavily.Our breaths getting mix with each other.He again attaches his lips to mine and this time with more passion and emotions.

After some good minutes we finally pull away from each other, staring at each other's eyes.I put my head on his chest listening to his loud but calm heart beat as he caresses my hair.

"I love you" My heart skips a beat for a moment at his sudden confession.I pull away from his chest and look at him with widened eyes to see if he is joking or serious,but he is definitely not joking judging from his face.

"Call me crazy but I fell in love with you at first sight" He whispers rubbing his thumb on my lips giving goosebumps all over my body.And now i know what i have to say.

"I love you too" I say as his eyes widen in surprise.I don't care if it's right or wrong, neither i care about what will happen in future and neither i care about going back now.All i know is i have fallen deeply in love with jungwon that stepping back would be the hardest decision of my life.I just want to be with him everytime.I can't seem to be away from him.I just want him to hold me tight in his arms forever.

He rests his forehead on mine, smiling brightly as I close my eyes feeling every second of this blissful and magical moment.

"Let me cherish you forever,love"
