"I was just trying to find food for us to storage, I know if I help a little early, we would have lots to eat for many days tops. I was only trying to help."

Striker admitted, the two await their father's wrath onto them, but instead, they heard him chuckle.

"Oh Striker, taking after your old man? Oh that's my boy! I do appreciate you two's help, and I understand how important it is for all of you, but you know the rules, you can't leave all by yourselves, even if you have something to defend yourself. Just let me do the hunting, you kids have loads to know when you both are older."

The two whined, Samuel shuts their lips with both his hands, and then teasing them by rubbing on both their heads.

"Ah ah! None of that, come on, I'm gonna prepare supper for tonight, but first, Striker, you got my shotgun?"

Samuel asked, but Striker gulped.

"Ah, well we're gonna go back and find it ourselves, now Daisy, you stay here, me and your brother are going for a walk, don't let anything or anyone come in at all, got it?"

The sky was already getting dark as the sun started to set, the air wasn't as harsh as before when it was hot and sunny. Samuel and Striker traveled down the same path where the shotgun Striker had was there, Samuel looks for it as if he's a hawk on a hunt for it. Even though it was almost evening, it was still hot for Striker to bare, but Samuel insisted on not letting him fall on the ground like a weakling, Striker knows the heat was unbearable, but he tries to keep up as his father told him to. After many hours of searching through the desert to the forest, they found the shotgun Striker claims to drop, Samuel picks it up and wipes off the leafs and other grassy parts off of it.

"Good eye, but next time, never leave your belongings behind, remember that."

Samuel firmly said to Striker.

"Yes sir."

"Good, welp, since now we've got that covered, let's head back before it gets darker out there, wild animals come and feast those who are out here."

Striker cautiously looks around before Samuel signals him to move along with him, and so he quickly did. They both walked back down the trail to where their home was, it was still a long way away, and the two were pretty exhausted from all the walking in the burning air. Not long after twenty minutes they start walking back, Samuel's ankle bent a little, causing him to collapsed onto the sandy ground, Striker was ahead, but heard the loud yelp from his father and turns around. He saw him on his kneels and was in pain, carcasses his injured ankle.
