Dex's P.O.V

I stared at the older fluffy monster. He's my favorite Sans au yet that just gives me reason to be suspicious. Cross is a somewhat neutral character, yet the moment you get on his bad side then you will regret it. He has good strength, skills, great magic abilities and with X having the overwrite button then we could be royally screwed. If that's not enough to be scared in his presence then I don't know what will. Oh wait being inside a castle full of fucking murders when you're a goddamn 14 year old will surely make it worse.

We didn't know how to get to our room and Miya was asking X for directions. So yeah I was stuck staring at a being who could easily end my life right now. Cross' gaze on me is hard and firm, like an army veteran that just got back from war. He was someone I respected and feared. I know he won't hurt me now but that could easily change if Nightmare gets tired of us. I should be ready for that instead of being careless like Alex most of the time.

Suddenly......

Head pats.

From Cross, who looks worried. That's scary. Why did he do that normally I would be fanboying over this interaction if this was an multiverse that leaned a bit more towards that one canceled comic Jakei and Joku made. But this is a multiverse where Cross is still with the Bad Sanses. I don't know it just makes me uncomfortable seeing him in this area in real life.

Cross bent down or went semi on his knees? Leaning down? Alex calls it a frog jump position so that's one thing.
"Kid I know this is an uncomfortable and difficult situation to process, but I don't want you to feel too uncomfortable." Cross said. I just realized he has a slight Latin-country accent. I just stared at him a bit. I haven't really processed this just the dangers and precautions we are going to have to take while here.

"Is there anything that I or others can do to help you adjust with the situation?" What.

He's willing to do that? I expected a threat a reminder that we are not in a safe place. He should be putting us in our place so we don't step out of line in the future. In the multiverses where Cross is a Bad Sans he is loyal to Nightmare, most often his second or third in command next to Killer, wouldn't he just make sure we don't get to comfortable so we don't step out of line? I know he's one of the nicer members of the group but still.

Wait I was supposed to respond. What do I even say. Telling them how much I knew would make sure we get caught in the lie, plus some stuff could be wrong but I'm not going to risk it! But my thoughts of how dangerous these guys are would be taken as assumptions and could get us on their bad side. They could be even more dangerous, or weaker and more family friendly than they are in stories and canon here but that's a risk I'm not willing to take.

Cross sighed and walked away. X yelled something to him and Haphe looked confused.
"Follow me." Cross said tiredly.
