Danganronpa: Hope's on the Horizon (DR 1)

I didn't need the announcement to wake up, but it played anyway. I sat up in my bed, swung my legs over the side of the bed, and just stared into space. I lazily got up and went to my bathroom to look at myself in the mirror. My face seemed weirdly gaunt. I've been eating every morning, I'm not anemic.
I decided to ignore it and go to the dining hall.
When I walked in, everyone looked tense. Last night, we watched Kagami get executed for the attempted murder of her brother. Kaname was there, sitting like I was in my room.
There was no food for us to eat, as Akira was nowhere to be seen. No one was there.
Monokuma appeared on the monitor in the dining hall.
"Minato, what are you doing? Come to the gym!" Monokuma said.
I ran out of the dining hall and into the gym.

Monokuma suddenly appeared as soon as I entered.

"Hey now! Why is everyone down?!" Monkuma said.
"What do you think, man?" Kaname said softly.
Kaname has to be the saddest out of all of us. He lost both of his siblings and was stabbed by his sister. Having to watch your younger sister die must feel so despairing...I can't imagine doing that as a fellow older brother.
"I know, I know. Three classmates of yours have died already, big deal. Now, the motive!"
Monokuma started handing out envelopes to all of us and we started opening them.
"There will be a classmate's name in each of these envelopes. This classmate will be your 'target.' Kill them within the time limit of three days, and no trial will be held!" Monokuma explained while handing out the envelopes. "By the way, the time limit starts...now!"

Upon opening mine, the name on the paper was Amai Hiraoka.

"By the way, I would keep the name of your target confidential if you want to make a kill! And before you ask, if no murder takes place in time, then everyone will be killed!"

This motive only made us not trust each other even more.

We all decided to leave our rooms.

I didn't feel like hanging out with anyone, so I composed a new piece in the music room.
As I tested it out on the piano, I didn't notice Enjeru come in. After I was done, I looked over and saw her.
"Hey," she said, her voice quiet.
"Hey," I replied.
"You sounded really good. I forgot that you told me that you can play the piano," she said.
"Yeah. I learned when I was a kid because of my parents," I responded.
Enjeru walked toward the piano and sat down, sitting with her back turned away from the piano keys. Her hand grazed mine and I moved it in embarrassment. I could feel myself blushing.
She laughed. "You look so cute when you blush!"
I covered my face so she wouldn't see, but her comment made me blush even harder.
She moved my hands away from my face and stared at me, smiling softly.
"Come on," Enjeru said. "The nighttime announcement is about to play."
She got up, my hand in hers, and we walked to the dorms together.

I fell asleep before the announcement could play, but woke up to the morning announcement.

Ding dong, bing bong!
Time of day: Daytime

Sometimes I wish I could turn Monokuma off indefinitely. He's so annoying and weird.
I got up to go to the dining hall and meet up with everyone.
"Good morning!" Honami greeted me.
I waved back, as we weren't very close, and sat down in between Enjeru and Junichi.
"We saved you a spot!" Enjeru said excitedly.
"We really shouldn't have given you that coffee," said Hikaru, giggling in the process.
Enjeru had a habit of getting hyper when she ate sweets or had caffeine, so I don't know why they would even choose to give her coffee.
"So what do we all think of the motive?" Junichi said.
None of us wanted to discuss it. It was a fucked up motive, and we all agreed on that.
"I think that we shouldn't act upon it. It's just what Monokuma wants and I refuse to give him the satisfaction," Akira said.
Akira and I aren't very close, but she's always held a special place in my heart. I mean, she makes us food every morning! We'd all be in a state of disarray without her.
Akira crossed her arms over her chest and huffed.
"I think we should all say who we got. It'll make us all trust each other more!" Junichi said.
"No, idiot, it'll make us trust each other less!" Ryosuke exclaimed.
Hikaru quickly covered her ears when Ryosuke screamed.
Enjeru sighed and covered her face. I can tell how stressed out she is by all of this.
Sometimes I think she wished Ryosuke was a smart guy. She likes him, I know she does. But sometimes he makes stupid remarks.
Tsubaki then raised her hand and spoke.
"I'll start first. I got Junichi."
We all looked around at each other, searching for approval.
Junichi raised his hand next.
"I got Enjeru. So, Enjeru, who did you get?"
"Ryosuke..."
Enjeru didn't want to get him as her target.
"I got Minato," Ryosuke said.
One after another, we all said who got who.
"Do we all promise to not kill each other?" Isamu announced.
We all said "Yes," and went back to our rooms.
I have some time left...What should I do?
