Over the next few days, Pops had Graysen help him transform the guest room into baby girl's room. He brought over everything that I already bought and the stuff he bought so mama and I can start nesting.
Yesterday I took the baby bag I bought, a blanket and an outfit to a small embroidery shop uptown to get her intials on them. Until then, mama took me shopping for a hospital bag and stuff to go in it, a rolling storage cart to go beside my bed and then more baby items. Watching videos on YouTube and TikTok has been helping a lot.
Pops and Graysen painted the beige walls white and also spray painted the grey dresser white as well. I'm going to buy a changing pad so I turn the dressed into a changing table and fill the dresser with diapers, onsies, socks and other essentials. The closet will be for all clothes and extra diapers and wipes.
I got word today that my cousins found a last minute venue for my baby shower which is scheduled to be the first saturday of next month which is two weeks before my due date. One of Pops' sisters, is a event coordinator so she agreed to put together a pink and gold butterfly theme baby shower. Haley is baker of the family so she's handling the treats and the cake, then my mama's friend is catering the food . So basically all I have to do is show up but first I need an outfit. Sadira does hair and makeup so she's gonna do my makeup. I'm gonna install my wig for the baby shower but Sadira is going to do my knotless braids for labor.
As I lay in bed, I scroll on this plus size website looking for an outfit. I was thinking a flowy dress long or short.
I came across a baby pink mesh dress that I know I will look good in and accommodates the summer weather. It has a v-neck line that will show the right amount of cleavage and has a high slit. I can pair that with some some clear sandals and silver jewelry.

"Hello?" I answer my cousin groupchat.
"Hey boo! How are you and baby girl doing?" Haley asks.
"We're doing fine, I just ordered my babyshower outfit." I say.
"Yay! I gotta find something to wear as well." Sadira says.
"Well the colors are pink, white and gold so any of those." I say.
Unknown Number calling...
"Yall, somebody is calling me I'll call yall back." I tell them.
"Don't worry about I got a face to do in a little while." Sadira says .
"Ok then, call tonight though." I say and we hung up .
"Hello?" I answer in a curious tone.
"Hey girl! It's Chyna." She says. My eyes widen in realization.
"Oh hey girl, how you been?" I ask. Chyna is Graysen's friend from high school. I've always liked her and wished they would just come out with their relationship already. They think we don't know they date.
