Rachel walked out of the office, Ashleigh was handing out pieces of paper to the Glee Clubbers...
"Why don't we just do what we rehearsed?" Roderick asked.
"Because Bruno Mars setlist was too predictable. These songs are unassuming. They create an emotional resonance." Ashleigh says.
"I mean, no disrespect, but we don't have time for a weekly lesson. Roderick is right. Maybe we should just stick to our original plan." Jane tells them.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Jane. I didn't realise you were a national championship, the MVP champion, or wrote any original songs. So how about shutting your trap and trusting me? Because the last time I checked, I'm still the leader of this very, very tiny, inexperienced group. Let's get one thing straight: I'm not here to babysit you all and pretend to be your friend or hold your hand. I'm here to win it. I'm planning on going to nationals." Ashleigh said, walking over and standing beside Rachel.
"And plus, she's got one hell of a voice. And she definitely doesn't need any of our help winning this invitational." Said Kitty.
"Look, I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you. Sue Sylvester hates Rachel. No offence, Rach. She always has. And now she hates you guys for joining the only club in the school that she can't control. But..." Ashleigh said, stopping in front of Mason and looking over at Jane.
"It's not about winning a competition..." Rachel tells them.
"Actually, it's all about winning. Rachel, let's not lie. I wanna wipe that smug smile off Will's face. Not just Will Schuester's face, but all of them. They think we're a joke, so I say we go out there and bury their songs, or bury them at least. And I'm gonna give it my all, and I'm not going down without a fight. So if you guys wanna quit, go ahead. Now's the time. You'll probably have an easier experience at this school if you do. If you do stay, we might have to pull an all-nighter." Ashleigh says.
"Pfft, an all-nighter? That's amazing." Mason muttered, pumping his fist against Ashleigh's.
"Yeah, and Ashleigh can order the pizza and root beer and have, like, a party." Spencer says.
"Wait, you're actually here? So does this mean you took what I said onboard, huh?" Asked Ashleigh.
"You want to win, don't you?" Asked Spencer.
"Yes." Ashleigh tells him.
"Then let's do it." Spencer tells her.
Spencer and Ashleigh smiled at each other, Ashleigh held the piece of paper out with the songs.
Ashleigh looked over at Rachel, standing beside Spencer and Mason.
Later, the New Directions were on the stage, they spoke quietly, and Will looked over at them...
Ashleigh looked over at Will, Mason looked behind him, and seeing Will.
"Uh, I'll be right back, guys, okay?" Ashleigh asked, staring at them.
Mason, Madison, Jane, and Spencer nodded.
"Hey." Ashleigh said.
"Ashleigh, I get that you're mad at me, but I have a job to do, and that's coaching Vocal Adrenaline." Will says.
"I'm sorry. I was totally out of line. Which, by the way, is a lot harder than you made it out to be when you were teaching us. I know I'm not your student anymore, but you taught me a very important lesson. You taught me to treat every student nicer." Ashleigh said.
"Well, between you and me, it's hard to be devoted to kids I don't particularly like." Will says.
"Sorry." Ashleigh tells him.
